Possibly the hottest Counter-Strike rivalry of early 2025 is MOUZ vs Team Falcons, and these two teams are coming together once again in BLAST Open Spring’s group stage.
Team Falcons rebooted its roster after falling short in the Shanghai Major. The new roster looks to be an upgrade over the previous roster but the team had little opportunity to gel. That’s because it keeps running into MOUZ.
So how do Falcons and MOUZ match up, and how should you be betting on this one? Here’s the full breakdown.

MOUZ and Team Falcons will meet in the first stage of the BLAST Open Spring group stage on March 19, 2025. The match is a best-of-three and takes place in an eight-team bracket. The group stage is a double elimination affair, so the loser isn’t eliminated.
MOUZ is a very strong team, but it’s coming into BLAST Open Spring wounded. It won PGL Cluj-Napoca and finished second in ESL Pro League Season 21, but the finals of the latter event saw MOUZ get stomped by Team Vitality.
MOUZ’s roster will be looking to get a bit of revenge for that against Falcons:
MOUZ is strong on Nuke, weak on Mirage, and decent everywhere else. The team is hard to brush off anywhere, which makes it tough to do a post-picks-and-bans “live” bet.
While MOUZ went from strength to strength from PGL Cluj-Napoca, Falcons did the opposite. Falcons had a breakout performance at PGL Cluj-Napoca where it finished in second place, but then washed out of the group stage in ESL Pro League Season 21 with a 2-3 record.
The Team Falcons roster is still strong, but isn’t yet proven at the elite level:
It’s still not entirely clear where Falcons is at its best or worst. The team’s best map statistically has been Mirage where it has a 5-2 record. Falcons also likes playing on Dust 2, where it has an 8-6 record. Everywhere else, it’s hovering close to the .500 mark.
MOUZ and Falcons 2025 roster have played against each other three times thus far, with MOUZ winning twice. Falcons got the first win in the PGL Cluj-Napoca group stage. Unfortunately for them, MOUZ decisively won the best-of-five rematch in the finals. The rubber match came in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 21, which MOUZ won 2-0.
Falcons is a 2.41 underdog against MOUZ for their match in BLAST Open Spring. MOUZ, by comparison, is a 1.56 favorite. While bookies bought into Falcons during PGL Cluj-Napoca, the group stage exit from EPL 21 brought the team back to earth.

MOUZ should take the win over Team Falcons in the opening round of BLAST Open Spring 2025. Though MOUZ took an ugly loss to Vitality just days ago, its overall body of work is still extremely good. That should be able to carry it to victory against a still-unproven Falcons.
