There’s a spicy and betting-friendly matchup between MOUZ and G2 Esports at the start of BLAST Open Spring 2025’s playoffs.
MOUZ and G2 Esports, somehow, is a fairly fresh matchup right now. The Counter-Strike esports grind has made some matches done to death, like seeing MOUZ smack around Team Falcons or Eternal Fire go up against FaZe Clan. Somehow, MOUZ and G2 haven’t played each other too much, but they’re coming together here.
So who will win MOUZ vs G2 Esports, and how should you bet on it?
MOUZ and G2 Esports are set to play in the BLAST Open Spring 2025 playoffs. They’ll face off in a best-of-three match to determine who faces Eternal Fire in the semifinals. The loser is eliminated from the event.
MOUZ got off to a white hot start to BLAST Open Spring by taking yet another victory over Team Falcons, then defeating Team Spirit. That guaranteed MOUZ a spot in the playoffs, but the team took another devastating loss to Team Vitality in the upper bracket finals of group A. This forced MOUZ to start the playoffs in the quarterfinals.
MOUZ’s roster at BLAST Open Spring includes these players:
In 2025, MOUZ has actually struggled on Dust 2, Mirage, and Inferno, with a sub-40% winrate on all three maps. It has made up for that by winning big on Nuke and Ancient. It bans Anubis and is undefeated on Train so far.
G2 Esports started BLAST Open Spring 2025 well by defeating Imperial Esports, but things went sideways with a 2-0 loss to Eternal Fire. G2 managed to stay alive by beating M80 and The MongolZ, which was impressive given how strong The MongolZ has been.
G2’s roster stans as follows:
In 2025 in the post-NiKo era, G2 has been around 50-50 on Ancient, Nuke, and Mirage. It’s been particularly strong on Inferno and Dust 2, though, winning on the maps 78% and 75% of the time, respectively. Its weakest map, on the other hand, is Anubis.
MOUZ and G2 played in the ESL Pro League Season 21 playoffs, which MOUZ won 2-1. G2 has been on the bad end of that rivalry in recent years, though that EPL 21 match is the only match that’s particularly relevant, given both teams’ roster changes.
MOUZ is a modest favorite over G2 Esports, with the moneylines being 1.61 against 2.29. This is a competitive match, and the odds speak to that. MOUZ’s peaks have been higher to this point in 2025 though, which is why it’s getting favorite treatment.
MOUZ should be able to beat G2 Esports in the BLAST Open Spring 2025 playoffs. The peaks have been higher and the head-to-head record favors MOUZ. G2 is good enough that they can’t be brushed off but unless the picks and bans look really funny, the favorite should come out on top.
