It’s a name that only the most degenerate Counter-Strike esports fans will recognize, largely competing in tier-three leagues throughout the year. Beating Team Liquid wasn’t even part of some sort of Cinderella run. The team ultimately fell short in the qualifiers after losing to Parivision and Team Next Level.

That made it really difficult to favor Team Liquid against anyone at IEM Cologne. After a 2-1 group stage run, the team doesn’t look like a lost cause, but it’s not looking particularly good, either.
