We have some more Fortnite leaks about future content planned for Season 8 and beyond, courtesy of everyone's favorite Fortnite leaker, Hypex.
We'll start with the BRUTE's return, which will send a chill up the spine of most players.
Hypex found more information about Vortexes - a Season 3 mechanic that could return in the future.
This isn't a big deal. Vortexes weren't super original. The real piece of news is that the BRUTE has been coded to work within them.
Vortexes (from Season 3) were updated yesterday and they're working on adding configuration to them which means they might come to creative at some point. Also the Mechs now have support for these Vortexes! pic.twitter.com/ARDd0lC6Mm— HYPEX (@HYPEX) October 13, 2021
New NPC & Mythic Weapon
We also saw news of Spiderman coming to the game - you've likely seen this one by now - along with a new NPC and a Moss Mythic Tactical Pistol.
The latter might not come until next season, as it's unfinished in the game files.
There's an encrypted skin named "Bistro Astronaut", and she will be an NPC:— HYPEX (@HYPEX) October 13, 2021
- Shop description: "Transform with the built-in emote! Accessories also transform when equipped!"
- as an NPC she holds a P90 and sells a Scar and/or a Sniper, and she will spawn at Believer Beach
Another scary proposition is that opponents may now be able to use certain cars as mobile grenades, throwing them into you and blowing them up.
We don't know many of the details here, but the news that Epic are planning a self-destruct button for cars is pretty scare. There are too many cars out there to let players use them like that.
Of course, we can't jump to conclusions. You may have to remain in the car and the explosion might not do too much damage. We'll have to wait and see.
Epic are working on a cars Self Destruct feature for later this season, and that's probably why they made cars explosions not spread fire in yesterday's hotfix.— HYPEX (@HYPEX) October 13, 2021
It was a big day for Fortnite leaks, as the day after patches usually are.
We'll be sure to let you know if we hear any more news about the BRUTE, as that's the most interesting/terrifying piece of news we have on the horizon.
