The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines (MPL PH) Season 17 will kick off on March 20 as eight teams compete for a share of the $150,000 prize pool and two slots to the Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2026.
The Philippines is considered the toughest region for MLBB esports, owing to the fact that the region’s teams have won all but one M World Championship. Therefore, teams aren’t just fighting for a slot to the MSC in Saudi Arabia, but perhaps to win the whole tournament.
The MPL PH is one of three franchised esports leagues for MLBB esports. The other two are Indonesia and Malaysia, with the latter adopting a ‘partnership’ model just in 2026. As a part of this, teams didn’t pay a buy-in to be a part of the league.
Here’s everything you need to know about the MPL PH.
The odds aren’t available yet. This article will be updated when they are.

The MPL Philippines returns with its regular format of a multi-week regular season followed by the playoffs. The regular season will take place from March 20 to May 17.
It follows a double round-robin bracket where all matches will be best-of-three. Teams earn one point for winning a match, while they receive zero for losing.
The top six teams from here will advance to the playoffs, while the bottom two will be eliminated.
In the playoffs, the top-ranked two teams will receive a bye to the upper bracket semifinal. The other teams will compete in a single-elimination play-ins to make it to the upper bracket semifinal.
From then on, the bracket will follow a double-elimination format. All matches will be best-of-five except for the lower bracket final and the grand final, which shall be best-of-seven.
The eight teams in the MPL PH Season 17 are as follows:
Going into the tournament, Aurora Gaming PH are among the hot favorites. The defending world champions haven’t made a single roster change, something that can’t be said for the other seven teams. With the same team, the organization will be looking to win the MPL Philippines for the first time ever.

The organization entered MLBB in 2024 and, in its first season, got second place. However, in the two seasons of 2025, it could only secure a second and a fourth place.
It lost the MPL PH Season 16 in the grand final to Team Liquid PH, another team to look out for.
Team Liquid PH came into the competition with one roster change. Their mid-laner, Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, has been loaned to EVOS, while the org has brought in Salic “Hadji” Imam to replace him.
Hadji is an incredibly experienced and decorated player, having been competing actively since 2018. He was a part of the Blacklist International roster that won the M3 and followed it up with a second place at M4.
He most recently played for Omega, with whom he finished in seventh place during the previous MPL PH season.
With the decorated Team Liquid PH roster, the team will now be looking to win it all this season as well. Nonetheless, it will be a season offering plenty of MLBB betting opportunities.
