The final series of VCT Americas Kickoff will bring maximum stakes, as two superteams clash in a Best of 5 series for all the marbles. MIBR takes on NRG, with the winner securing the last Americas spot at VCT Masters Santiago, while the loser is forced to sit out. Here are our MIBR vs NRG betting predictions for this big match.
MIBR looked like the strongest team in the region, but that’s only if we took the first few weeks into account. The star-studded roster cruised through their opening matches and easily secured a spot in the Upper Bracket Final, looking like a genuine title contender.
Cracks were bound to show, however, but they appeared far sooner than expected. MIBR dropped the ball against FURIA in a Best of 5 series that shocked the entire community. Still, many fans wrote it off, as losing once could have been brushed off as a bad day.

Instead, things went from bad to worse. MIBR proceeded to get swept 3-0 by G2 Esports, getting demolished on every map. Erick “aspas” Santos, arguably the greatest Valorant player in the world, was shut down with a 0.55 rating across the series.
While MIBR did beat NRG earlier in the event, their recent form is extremely concerning – especially considering this will be their third Best of 5 in a row with minimal time to reset, both mentally and strategically.
Unlike MIBR, NRG come into this series with strong momentum after a convincing victory over 100 Thieves, where they secured statement 13-3 and 13-8 map wins.
There’s no question about this team’s ceiling, as they’ve already lifted the trophy at Valorant Champions 2025. NRG are clearly motivated to prove that run was no fluke, and qualifying for Masters Santiago is the first step in the right direction.

Their gameplay has looked much cleaner throughout the event. The strategies have looked tidier, and their individuals are shooting. Georgio “keiko” Sanassy, in particular, has looked more comfortable with the system.
The only lingering question mark is that NRG are yet to play a Best of 5 series at Kickoff, so their map pool with this new lineup will be tested to their very limit.
It would be gut-wrenching to see MIBR lose three separate qualification opportunities in a row, but this is the reality that is settling in. Based purely on recent form, NRG clearly look like the stronger team heading into this series.
For MIBR to have a real shot, they’ll need a quick mental reset and a much stronger showing from their star player aspas. The silver lining is the veto: we expect MIBR to ban Pearl, while NRG will likely ban Breeze or Bind. This gives MIBR a more favorable map pool on paper.
In our opinion, the team that gets off to a good start will likely carry that momentum through the rest of the series. Based on recent performances, NRG look like the side most capable of doing exactly that. That’s why we expected NRG to win the series, and if they do, this matchup could be quite a one-sided affair.
