The
Marvel Rivals

Tournament matches have made it clear which characters dominate, while the ranked ladder shows a noticeable gap between pro picks and the general player base. S Tier Heroes

These are the best Marvel Rivals characters that stand completely on top of everything right now. Too strong or too useful, so they control the draft and fights.
- Iron Man
is currently one of the most dominating heroes in the game. His flying ability keeps him out of most characters’ damage range, while his aerial damage and powerful ultimate make him overwhelming.
- Human Torch
remains one of the most banned DPS and even heavy nerfs cannot keep him away from dealing too much destruction. His burst and fire map control are unmatched.
- Psylocke
continues as the best dive assassin. Every pro team values her highly because once she finds a gap in enemie’s backline, it’s hard to stop her.
- Phoenix
pairs well with Magik or Luna and can hold her ground effectively, and her ultimate can completely swing team fights. Her basic attacks are also too strong and she can take you down instantly if you don’t dodge her shots.
- Emma Frost
brings huge utility and tank value, she is nearly always banned or picked. If she is not there,
Groot
stands as another top-choice tank who is reliable in every fight.
A Tier Heroes

Heroes in this place can be strong but they do not fit everywhere. Some need a team around them or maps that let them work.
- Doctor Strange
is still one of the top picks for solo tanking, and his portal tricks are scary across
all Marvel Rivals ranks.
- Thor
has improved much over the last few weeks after buffs, yet most would say his true power is not yet established. He can easily jump on healers like Rocket and Jeff and kill them in two to three hits.
- Captain America
comes back in dive comps, even though his nerfs made many think he was finished.
- Venom
is powerful if the team is organized, but in solo play, he fails to shine in the same way.
- Squirrel Girl
is getting quietly stronger, on certain maps she is huge trouble with spawn break potential. And her high damage acorns can be dangerous to a team that is playing together 2 perfect hits can kill any healers or dps also her ultimate in squishy places can be fatal and can eliminate a whole team.
- The Thing
got buffs and in many cases he feels good, but he still loses value against Groot or Punisher.
- Black Panther
lost some dash power, but skilled players have kept his combos dangerous. And sometimes playing against him feels irritating because of his speed and damage.
- Hela
is a strong backup DPS when top picks are banned, though rarely game-changing on her own. Unless of course you have dead-sharp aim.
- The
Winter Soldier
and
Punisher
both stand as reliable backline shooters to punish dives from heroes like Venom or Loki.
B Tier Heroes

This tier is playable but only under the right circumstances, it can’t be relied on at all times.
- Spider Man
is a bit better but Ultron and the rest still cause him to struggle in matchups. He is also one of the more technical characters, so make sure you have set your system to the
best possible Marvel Rivals settings
to maximize his potential.
- Storm
is underappreciated, but in brawl comps she brings valuable support.
- Namor
demonstrates larger plays when playing with teammates. His worth increases against dives.
- Moon Knight
sits in the middle, he can reach the back line and use burst damage to swing the whole fight.
- Adam Warlock
looks strong on paper, better picks like Loki and Luna prevent him from truly shining. However, he truly shines in a triple support formation.
- Peni Perker,
after the recent update got her new teamup with Rocket Raccoon, which allows her to deploy two traps at the same time, which is really useful for holding the objective. Heroes like Black Panther or Psylocke can’t do much in front of her traps if used properly.
C Tier

These can be considered the worst Marvel Rivals heroes who have very limited use and are usually not worth it over stronger choices.
- Hawkeye
works only if the aim is perfect but it is usually too weak against other ranged.
- Blade
the new hero this season not settled yet, some try combos like Blade Groot, but overall, he feels underpowered.
- Magik
keep a steady win rate but she never becomes the top option for average players do to her situational use. She is deadlier only when paired with another dive on the team.
- Black Widow
has constantly been criticized for far too little damage output, while many demanding a complete kit rework for Black Widow since the start.
- Mr Fantastic
survives long, but hardly brings meaningful pressure unless you have a very strong frontline. He can really be useful while tanks fall back to heal up while he holds the ground.
- Star Lord
has almost disappeared from serious matches after losing his old synergy. Still, his ult when timed properly, right after the healers have used up their ults, can wipe out the entire opposition.
