Since its launch back in 2024, Marvel Rivals has created its own community within the online gaming community and has gathered both fans of the Marvel universe and the competitive shooter genre. The 2025 season of Marvel Rivals Ignite was its inaugural season, and Virtus.pro became the inaugural world champions in the first year of the game. In a post on their social media accounts, Marvel Rivals announced the roadmap for the upcoming 2026 season of Marvel Rivals Ignite, the game’s esports tournament series.

Following the success of the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025, Marvel Rivals announced their esports circuit: Marvel Rivals Ignite. As the main focus of any Marvel Rivals esports betting in 2026, the tournament would take place over a few months. The grand finals taking place from October 27 to November 2nd.

In a post on their social media accounts, Marvel Rivals has announced some major changes to the Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 roadmap. The first change is that the Oceania and Asia regions will merge into one, forming the Pacific region. Thus, Marvel Rivals Ignite will now consist of four regions (Americas, EMEA, China, and Pacific ), similar to the VALORANT Champions Tour Partnership Leagues. The difference here is that teams from the Oceania and the Asia regions will play in independent group stages. In the playoffs stage, the winner of both will face off against each other to get a spot in the mid-season finals. In the 2026 season, Marvel Rivals Ignite will have a prize pool of over $3,000,000.

The Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 season will begin in April with the preseason tournament. Below is a list of all the tournaments within the circuit and the month they will take place:

  • Pre-season: April 2026
  • Ignite Stage 1: May-June 2026
  • Mid-Season Finals: August 2026
  • Ignite Stage 2: September- October 2026
  • Grand Finals: November 2026

For the 2026 season, Marvel Rivals has also announced the launch of the partnered teams program. Twelve teams from around the world will be a part of this program, with a chance to secure direct qualification in the regional league tournaments. Each team in the partner program will have its exclusive partner bundle in the game and participate in a revenue-sharing agreement with Marvel Rivals.

Virtus.pro became the inaugural world champions after having one of the most dominating performances throughout the year. The team lost just four matches throughout the entire calendar year of 2025.

Both the Mid-Season Finals & Grand Finals will consist of teams from all four regions at an international venue. The pre-season will be the first tournament of the year, which will decide the seeding for all the teams within the league. Parallel to the regional tournaments, six Marvel Rivals Champions tournaments will be hosted in 2026. These are online regional tournaments that help newer players get a taste of participating in these esports tournaments alongside the best players of Marvel Rivals.

Each regional league of Marvel Rivals Ignite will have a given number of slots for teams. This even includes the Mid-Season Finals and the Grand Finals. Below is a list of the slots for each league:

Preseason and Stage 1 & 2

  • Americas: 12
  • EMEA: 12
  • China: 8
  • Asia: 8
  • Oceania: 8

Mid-Season Finals

  • Americas: 3
  • EMEA: 3
  • China: 2
  • Pacific (Asia+ Oceania): 2

Grand Finals

  • Americas: 4
  • EMEA: 4
  • China: 2
  • Pacific (Asia+ Oceania): 2

In addition to the changes to the league, Marvel Rivals has announced the launch of League Points. Based on a team’s placement in the regional league and the international Mid-Season Finals, they will be allocated league points. Teams that perform the best during the regional Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage two tournaments and have the highest amount of League points stand a chance to qualify for the Grand Finals. Additionally, teams taking part in the Marvel Rivals Champions can stand a chance to secure qualification to the Stage 1 and 2 through the relegation and promotion event.
