In a post on their official social media handles, Marvel Rivals has announced the new Scarlet Witch Phoenix Chaos skin in-game. Within the Marvel Comics universe, Scarlet Witch is one of the strongest characters. She is also a mutant, similar to the likes of Cyclops and Wolverine. One point to note is that during the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she wasn’t showcased as a part of the X-Men. The Phoenix Force is a special entity that is part of Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, in the comics. The inspiration for this skin comes from the moment when we see Scarlet Witch and Jean Grey combine their powers to face off against Knull.

The new Scarlet Witch Phoenix Chaos will be classified under the Legendary Rarity skin in Marvel Rivals. The skin and the skin bundle will be available to purchase on August 28th at 10:00 PM EDT. In the gameplay video of the skin, we can see Scarlet Witch has purple hair and a new attire. This attire has a flair, which is a reference to the Phoenix Force, and also a dark aura that showcases the chaos energy.

What Is The Community’s Opinions On The New Skin?

On the social media platform X, many fans have called this skin quite detailed and beautiful. Some have also criticized Marvel Rivals for creating a skin valued at around $22, but not including features such as VFX and sound changes for the characters. These are features that are currently available on skins that come in the Legendary rarity class.

Many fans on Reddit are comparing the skin to its counterpart, the Chaos Phoenix skin, which was released during Season 3 on July 11, 2025. Another user, Gabrielhrd on Reddit, mentioned that this is the fifth legendary rarity skin that has been released back-to-back, with many even asking for a Legendary skin for Penny Parker. This skin, by the end of the year, might be on the list of most fans for one of the best Marvel Rivals skins released in 2025.
