Marvel Rivals has released constant content drops since its release on December 6, 2024. Currently, there are three Marvel Rivals game modes: Convoy, Convergence, and Domination. These modes are enjoyed on specific maps which offer unique layouts, designs, environments, and objects. Irrespective of whether you are a pro or a new player, all Marvel Rivals players have their favourite map, the one that they enjoy playing the most.
In this Marvel Rivals maps guide, we have divided all maps into 3 categories, from best to worst. The Marvel Rivals maps tier list does not necessarily mean one map is better than the other, but rather reflects the general player feeling. Here are the 3 tiers for all housing on all Marvel Rivals maps.
| Tier | Maps |
|---|---|
| S | Hall of Djalia, Tokyo 2099 Spider Islands, Tokyo 2099 Shin Shibuya |
| A | Birnin T’Challa, Hell’s Heaven Hydra, Central Park, Arakko, Hellfire Gala: Krakoa, K’un-L’un: Heart of Heaven |
| B | Empire of Eternal Night Midtown, Klyntar Symbiotic Surface, Yggsard Y |

The three maps that are part of the S-tier have a few common elements, which are as follows:
The Hall of Djalia (Convergence) is unique in itself; it includes different types of terrains which are ideal for both close and long-range combat. It has a great flow and remains a highly-rated map for good reason.
Tokyo 2099 Spider Islands (Convoy) includes many high-ground locations for the long-range heroes to exploit. This map is balanced and has locations that are great for both individual and team fights.
Tokyo 2099 Shin Shibuya (Convergence) may be visually attractive and offers minimal balance, but the community loves this map and calls it “peak” design. The multiple flank routes and verticality help duelists to get a higher kill count while allowing for constant shifts in strategy. This map is not boring at all.

This tier includes 6 maps, all of which are slightly swingy. All these maps require a strong level of team synergy to actually win. This small yet fun challenge makes these maps very interesting.
Birin T’challa (Domination) has many futuristic elements, but it also has many choke points, falling into which can immediately eliminate you from the lobby.
Hell’s heaven Hydra (Convergence) can be confusing for some with its moving entries and exits. This often makes players walk into enemy ambushes; other than that, it has a very beautiful setting.
Central Park (Convergence) and Arakko (Convoy) are fun to play for their narrow choke points and destructible environments.
Hellfire Gala: Krakoa (Domination) is a color-coded teleporter network that allows for rapid transit and flanking. It’s centerpiece is a complex that allows lots of vertical plays.
K’un-L’un: Heart of Heaven (Convergence) map is visually stunning. The latest map in the roster is also a departure from the murky and overall gloomier designs of some of the last few maps. But the second and third checkpoints heavily favor the attackers due to the spawn alignment. The unique fog mechanic also provides spaces for camping and ambush for flankers. But overall, it brings interesting changes to the map pool and convergence gameplay. Considering it’s been almost a year since Marvel Rivals has been out, new challenges like these should be welcomed.

All the B-tier maps lack balance and are widely hated by the community. Once you lose a fight it can cost you the entire match. These maps are mainly dominated by specific roles, and other roles appear secondary.
The Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown (Convoy) is not the best map in Marvel Rivals. It has the iconic Fantastic 4 building, but it also has some really brutal choke points that heavily favour the attackers. The attacker spawn after the first point makes it almost impossible for defenders to recover.
Klyntar Symbiotic Surface (Convergence) offers space for high mobility characters but is often cited as nonsensical and clunky. The final objective points are often confusingly placed, and the “goop walls” do not make for a competitive experience.
Yggsard Royal Palace (Domination) and Yggsard Yggdrasil Path (Convoy) offer minimal balance. The elevated structures on the route to the objective provide spaces to camp and ambush. The strategies become stagnant over time due to a lack of flank routes.
Throne of Knull (Resource Rumble) is one of the most confusing maps with matches that are too long. Heart of Heaven and Celestial Husk have poor navigation due to a lack of clear lanes. The map design makes it easy to ambush and offers no escape space.
Most of these maps are in the current Marvel Rivals map rotation in ranked. So, regardless of which one is your favourite, knowing all of them will definitely help you increase your Marvel Rivals rank.
On that note, you should consider trying these best Marvel Rivals crosshair codes to level up your aim quickly.
