Marvel Rivals leaks suggest new game modes coming soon

Marvel Rivals heroes flying

According to new leaks, developre NetEase Games might add more game modes to Marvel Rivals, including a highly-anticipated Capture the Flag mode.

The free-to-play Marvel Rivals has had a massively successful launch with a player count that has broken some Steam records. The game’s popularity didn’t stop there, either. In less than two weeks after its launch, NetEase announced that the game hit the milestone of 20 million registered players.

Like other hero shooters, Marvel Rivals features multiple game modes that can be played. From regular control point modes to those where players must defend or stop an objective, most modes will likely be fairly familiar to hero shooter veterans. Now, data miners have found some more news that fans are excited about. According to these latest leaks, Marvel Rivals might be getting new game modes including Capture the Flag.

Capture the Flag game mode may come to Marvel Rivals

Data miners have leaked multiple new game modes that might make it into Marvel Rivals, but the one fans are most excited about is Capture the Flag.

Miners leaked that multiple new modes exist in Marvel Rivals’ files but aren’t publicly available. While the game modes are in fact in the game, there is no confirmation that NetEase will actually make them playable in Marvel Rivals.

All of the unavailable Marvel Rivals game modes that data miners have leaked are:

  • Arm Race Deathmatch
  • Capture The Flag
  • Classic Hybrid Mode
  • Deathmatch
  • Escort Mode
  • Free Fight Attack and Defence
  • Mystery Hero
  • Rush
  • Sniper Team Deathmatch with Big Heads

It’s unclear if all or even any of the aforementioned game modes will be released publicly for play in the game. However, there is a chance that some of them might come through. While the data miners and leakers have leaked the full list, they don’t yet have confirmation on whether the modes are actually planned to be released in the future.

It’s also possible that the game modes were earlier planned to be released but have already been scrapped. That could explain why they exist in the Marvel Rivals files but aren’t playable. There’s also a possibility that the game modes exist in the files because NetEase wants to release them at a later date, which is what most fans and players will be hoping for.

Time will tell whether fans will be able to enjoy Capture the Flag in Marvel Rivals or not. But fans have already expressed their excitement at the chance that they might be able to play different game modes in Marvel Rivals soon.
