If there is one game that has become the talk of the town within the world of video games, it’s Marvel Rivals. Since its launch in December 2024, the game has become one of the most recognized video games. A significant reason for this is that the game has multiple characters from Marvel Comics. Recently, there have been reports that the popular Marvel hero, Deadpool, might be released in the game soon. Here is everything you need to know about Deadpool’s Release within Marvel Rivals.
In a post on X, user @X0X_LEAK has reported that they have found an in-game voiceline of the character Deadpool. In the post, the user shared a video of Deadpool interacting with multiple heroes within the game. These include the likes of Hulk, Doctor Strange, Mantis, Rocket Raccoon, and Venom. Interestingly, all these voice lines are interactions with Deadpool. There are very few voicelines that one can hear Deadpool interact with various characters. Within these voicelines, one can hear Doctor Strange talk to Deadpool about his spells requiring precise hand motions.
In multiple voice lines, we can hear heroes like Venom, Scarlet Witch, and Rocket Raccoon get aggravated by Deadpool speaking a lot. Venom is even talking about eating Deadpool rather than fusing with him. The most interesting voice line would be Wolverine talking to Deadpool. Within them, Wolverine informs Deadpool that they aren’t partners. This is a major reference to the Deadpool and Wolverine movie that was released in 2024. Thus making this movie as well canon to the Marvel Rivals Universe and comics.
Deadpool is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel universe. Since his debut, his character has been known for breaking the fourth wall multiple times. Being one of the few characters that makes numerous jokes that are considered meta by the Marvel Fanbase. The first Deadpool movie was released in 2016. This movie was one of the first R-rated superhero movies released. The movie went on to be one of the most popular movies of all time. It even became the second-highest earning R-rated film of all time. Since then, two more movies have been released, including Deadpool.
The third movie, Deadpool and Wolverine, was released back in 2024. The movie earned over $1.14 billion globally, becoming the top-grossing R-rated film of all time. During the movie’s launch, Marvel Rivals released an exclusive skin for Wolverine. The skin is his iconic yellow suit from that movie.
Within Marvel Comics, Deadpool is known for his regeneration and weapon skills. Thus it could be assumed that within Marvel Rivals, Deadpool will have skills with his weapons: The Katanas and Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX pistols. Currently, no release date has been leaked for the inclusion of Deadpool within Marvel Rivals roster. During the release of Marvel Rivals Season 4, we could see the popular hero being introduced to the game.
