Engin “MAJ3R” Küpeli, Aurora’s CS2 in-game-leader, vented on X to fans after SAW pushed his team to the brink of elimination at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 on October 29th.
The Portuguese team managed to reverse-sweep Aurora and lock in a spot in the PGL Masters Bucharest playoffs, despite being the underdogs.
Even though Aurora’s form has taken a turn for the worse lately, they’re still one of the best CS2 teams in the world and are generally good enough to make the playoffs. But, after this loss to SAW, Aurora’s morale hit an all-time low, and MAJ3R asked fans to be more supportive.
We’re in the hardest period right now within 2 years, friends. These players beat Vitality, beat Falcons. They made it to the final. They’ve been making you happy for 2 years.
Believe me, we’re all overly obsessed, everyone is so so upset thinking everyone is playing badly, and fighting is all we have inside […] I want us to be together this period, as hard as it is for you, we need positivity, there’s too much negativity.

Aurora have been having mixed results ever since the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 in June, when they didn’t make the playoffs for the first time in 2025. The Turkish squad bounced back with playoff runs at BLAST Bounty Season 2, Esports World Cup 2025, and FISSURE Playground 2.
However, Aurora underperformed in the last two tournaments, ESL Pro League Season 22 and Thunderpick World Championship, and fans were hoping they would cruise past teams at PGL Masters Bucharest, given it’s more like a tier-1.5 LAN as a lot of tier-one teams skipped it to play at IEM Chengdu. But instead, Aurora are succumbing after their good start in the tournament.
It’s not over for Aurora just yet, as they have a do-or-die match against Astralis tomorrow, October 30th. The winner will advance to the playoffs and join paiN Gaming, HEROIC, B8, Team Liquid, and SAW in the trophy race.
Besides Aurora vs. Astralis, the final day of the PGL Masters Bucharest group stage will feature GamerLegion vs. Gentle Mates and Legacy vs. FlyQuest.
