Los Ratones roster returns as Witchcraft with Bwipo joining for EMEA Masters

Los Ratones Becomes Team Witchcraft

Los Ratones mid laner Nemesis just announced a new team, Witchcraft. This team will be made up of four out of five Los Rantones players and will compete at the League of Legends EMEA Masters from March 9t onwards.

In the LEC Versus, Los Ratones gathered the most viewership by a long shot. With the EMEA Masters, these players will get a second chance to play against the LEC teams.

Los Ratones reformed into Witchcraft

Witchcraft has announced the following roster:

  • Top lane: Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau
  • Jungle: Veljko “Velja” Čamdžić
  • Mid lane: Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek
  • Bot lane: Juš “Crownie” Marušič
  • Support: Carl Martin Erik “Rekkles” Larsson
  • Coach: Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi

This is the Los Ratones roster, with Bwipo replacing Baus. Nemesis initially asked Baus if he wanted to take part again, but the top laner responded that he was done with pro play, as he had initially stated. Instead, the former Fnatic top laner will reunite with Nemesis and Rekkles.

Los Ratones owner Caedrel will be a part of this team, though he will support them. Given that he is one of the biggest League of Legends streamers, Witchcraft is unlikely to reach the same popularity as Los Ratones without him.

However, they retain the same approach of streaming their scrims and online matches, which has made many viewers care about the team more.

Witchcraft can play with the LEC again

Witchcraft will compete in the Winter EMEA Masters as an NLC team, inheriting the slot that belonged to Los Ratones. Starting this year, though, the Winter EMEA Masters leads to a new tournament in May, the Esports World Cup Qualifier.

This tournament will feature the ten LEC representatives and the two best EMEA Masters teams – just like the LEC Versus. The EWC Qualifier is a double-elimination bracket after which the two best LoL teams represent Europe at the EWC.

With many disappointed after the elimination of Los Ratones in the LEC and stopped watching the tournament altogether, this is great news for Europe.

Furthermore, while Baus was a fan-favorite thanks to his controversial playstyle, Bwipo is a World finalist and several-time LEC and LCS winner. Known as a smart player, his addition will bump up the team’s level.

Witchcraft doesn’t currently have long-term. This team may only play for the upcoming split, or they could stick together for longer. For now, they will debut in the EMEA Masters, going from March 9 to April 21.
