The League of Legends World Championship is just around the corner, and with it, the LoL Worlds Pick’ems 2025 begin in just a few days! Worlds Pick’ems is a prediction page, where you can guess how far each team will advance through Worlds as well as various other stats about the tournament, and get big rewards for correct predictions. So here’s everything you need to know about this year’s LoL Worlds Pickems format, dates, and everything in between!

LoL Worlds Pick’ems: format, dates, and more

Like previous years, LoL Worlds Pick’ems 2025 will feature the Crystal Ball and match predictions, but also adds in a Community Faction pick. The page to make your picks is on the LoL esports website!

Crystal Ball

Crystal Ball picks are a series of questions that mix blind luck and knowledge of the scene. Based on last year, the questions we can expect are:

Event:

  • How many pentakills will there be?
  • How many Baron steals will there be?
  • How many reverse sweeps will there be in the Worlds Knockout Stage? (Out of 7 Bo5s)
  • How many unique champions will be picked?
  • Will Teemo be picked?

Champions:

  • Which champion will be picked the most?
  • Which champion will be banned the most?
  • Which champion will have the highest win rate? (Minimum 5 games played)
  • Which champion will have the lowest win rate? (Minimum 5 games played)
  • Which champion will have the most kills?

Players:

  • Which pro will have the highest KDA?
  • Which pro will play the most different champions?
  • Which pro will get at least one pentakill?
  • Which pro will get the most first bloods?
  • Which pro will get the most kills in a single game?

Teams:

  • Which team will kill the most Elder Dragons?
  • Which team will have the most Baron steals?
  • Which team will win the shortest game?
  • Which team will get the most kills?
  • Which team will play the most unique champions?

Match predictions

Swiss Stage

Swiss stage picks have been made harder this year. In 2024 and 2023, the Swiss stage predictions for LoL Worlds Pick’ems were only about picking the 8 teams who will qualify for playoffs.

But this year, with no play-ins predictions (and perhaps due to an absurdly high number of winners to the 2025 MSI Pick’ems), Riot decided to increase the difficulty by having us guess one team that’ll qualify 3-0, 3-1, and 3-2.

Note that this year, play-ins and Swiss predictions are grouped together, so you’ll have to predict the 8 winners out of 17 total teams qualified for Worlds and won’t get a refund in case you bet on the wrong team out of T1 and iG.

Each team correctly predicted to advance awards 10 points, and each correct score guessed grants an additional 15 points.

Playoffs

Playoffs picks will have you guess the winner of all 7 series, like every year.

This year, however, due to Worlds schedule, we’re returning to picking all playoff predictions once at the start of quarterfinals, instead of making quarters, semis, and finals picks separately.

The correct quarterfinal outcomes guessed grant 10 points each, with the semifinals yielding 20 and the finals giving a whooping 80 points for a correct pick!

Rewards

All correct picks award points, scaling up the further into the tournament the matches are.

Every participating player will receive an emote for the Swiss pick, and an Esports capsule for the Knockout picks.

Rewards are then given out based on the points earned. For the matches:

  • Top 50%: “Group Hug” emote
  • Top 25%: The previous, and “The Answer” emote
  • Top 5000: The previous, and Trials of Twilight Xin Zhao (plus the champion)
  • Perfect: All 7 ultimate skins (and their champions)

For Crystal Ball picks, the rewards include three emotes, Esports capsules, and Trials of Twilight Xin Zhao as well (with no further details yet).

Community factions

Factions are a new feature of the LoL Worlds Pick’ems 2025! You will be offered to pick a faction among content creators. And at the end of LoL Worlds Pick’ems, the faction with the highest average score will yield the exclusive “Float On” emote to all of its members.

It’s about the average score and not the total one, so whether you pick a smaller or bigger content creator doesn’t matter!
