League of Legends 2025 offseason tracker: Roster rumors and updates

The League of Legends 2025 offseason is halfway over. Roster changes are happening for every team, and some in the East have already fielded their new players. The offseason defines what 2026 will look like, and the strength of every team: what teams acquire new superstars, which rosters stay the same to further build their synergy, and which ones are downgraded? It’s all taking place now.

As of January 12th, rosters of all major regions are now complete!

LEC roster updates and rumors

Confirmed (official) LEC moves

Notes:

• The LEC rosters are finalized!
• Team BDS has rebranded to Shifters.
• Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue will only play the LEC Versus, the Winter split. Spring and Summer Split will only feature the other ten teams.
• G2 Esports, Moviestar KOI, and GIANTX are running it back with their 2025 roster.
• Hans SamD has renamed to SamD.
• The LEC rules state that guest teams must keep at least 3/5 of their qualifying roster. However, KCB was granted an exception to allow their players to pursue better career paths.

LCS roster updates and rumors

Notes:

• Sentinels has just joined the LCS, taking over the spot of 100 Thieves.
• Disguised has retained its spot, after earning it back through the LCS Promotion Tournament.
• Unlike the LEC, no team in the LCS has stuck with its 2025 roster!

LCK roster updates and rumors

Notes:

• The LCK rosters are finalized! Read more about the LCK roster changes here.
• DN Freecs has renamed to DN SOOPers.
• The LCK will use Coach Comms for the LCK Cup, making the coach role even more important for Winter 2026. Teams may only have one single coach on comms per game.

LPL roster updates and rumors

Confirmed (official) LPL moves

Notes:

• The LPL rosters are finalized!
• FunPlus Phoenix has disbanded, and no team has taken its spot.
• Royal Never Give Up will not participate in the LPL 2026 either as they face financial struggles.
• This means that the LPL only has 14 participating teams in 2026, down from 16 in 2025 and 17 from 2020 to 2024.
• LGD Shaoye has renamed back from Sav1or.

LCP roster updates and rumors

Confirmed (official) LCP moves

Notes:

• The LCP rosters are finalized!
• Riot Games kicked PSG Talon from the LCP due to failure to operate in accordance with league standards. For instance, PSG had significant delays in payments to their players and coaches. As a result, Ground Zero Gaming is replacing them in the LCP.
• Chiefs Esports Club failed to re-qualify through the Promotion tournament, and was thus demoted from the LCP. Deep Cross Gaming won and took CHF’s spot.
• MGN Vikings Esports has rebranded to MVK Esports.
• DCG 665 has renamed into Pop9.
