Team Liquid has announced the removal of Justin “jks” Savage from the team’s starting CS2 roster while Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek is joining the organization on a loan deal from MOUZ.
jsk is an Australian professional Counter-Strike player who has been linked with various teams over the years, including 100 Thieves and G2. The player joined Team Liquid after being benched by G2 in 2024 amid the organization’s overhaul after an unimpressive season in which the team failed to qualify for the Copenhagen Major or challenge for any significant trophies.
Liquid’s new roster including jks saw some success but ultimately he failed to prove to be the game-changer the organization was expecting. Team Liquid has now announced another roster change that fans will see debut at PGL Bucharest. jks has been benched and the organization has announced siuhy’s addition to the roster.
Team Liquid’s shuffling of its CS2 roster in 2024 didn’t give the expected results and the organization has announced another overhaul with siuhy replacing the benched jks.
Fans were hopeful after Team Liquid added AWPer Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak and jks to its roster in 2024. They thought this may be the change the organization needed to turn a new leaf. Liquid reached ESL Pro League Season 20 and the Perfect World Shanghai Major playoffs but the roster’s performance was still insufficient. The team faced elimination early and failed to become a title contender in either event.
jks failed to perform at the tournament with an expected rating of 1.01 and averaged a rating of 0.99. This lends context to why Team Liquid decided to swap the player out with siuhy, but this isn’t the only change. The team’s Danish coach Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg is also being removed. Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken’s in-game leadership will also be taken over by siuhy. The major responsibility will fall on siuhy and he’ll need change the trend of mixed results for the North American Counter-Strike 2 team.
Team Liquid announced the player changes after the organization’s continued unimpressive results rolled into the new year. In 2025, the team only manged to qualify for one playoff stage, and that was at the ESL Pro League S21 finals. Their performance against the other teams wasn’t ideal, but Liquid will still receive a Stage 3 invite. The organization’s latest CS2 roster overhaul will be tested there as they will need to perform well if they hope to avoid another relatively early exit from an event.
