The fourth week of the group stage of VCT Americas Stage 1 is set to begin soon. One of the matches that has become the talk of the town in Group Alpha is Leviatán vs MIBR. The winner of this match will be one step closer to securing their spot in the upper bracket semi-finals of VCT Americas Stage 1.

The storyline for this match is actually quite simple: it is Erick “aspas” Santos facing off against his old team for the first time this year. During his time at Leviatán, he helped the team reach VALORANT Champions 2024 for the first time two years ago.
Since then, MIBR has slowly become one of the best teams in VCT Americas. It must be noted that during VCT Americas Kickoff 2026, MIBR lost three best-of-five matches in a row, due to which they didn’t play in VALORANT Masters Santiago.
In the ongoing tournament of VCT Americas Stage 1, Leviatán is currently undefeated with a 3W-0L record. On the other hand, MIBR has a 2W-1L record after losing to Cloud9 in their match last week.
Leviatán has started this competition on a strong note, due to the signing of their new duelist: Eduardo “Sato” Nagahama. In this tournament, Sato has been averaging an ACS of 245 while slowly becoming one of the best Neon players in the world.
The VALORANT betting odds suggest that this isn’t a one-sided match. With the teams knowing the stakes of this match-up, we know for sure that they will do their best to win this series.
Leviatán are clearly looking like the stronger team in this fixture. In their previous match, they defeated ENVY with a 2-0 scoreline.
Leviatán, during this event, has also successfully won 57% of pistol rounds. They even hold a 100% win rate on Bind this tournament, thus making it quite likely that MIBR might ban it.
With MIBR having the firepower of both Aspas and Zekken, they have been quite successful in getting the first kill in each round. In this competition, they sit on a high 54% success rate at securing the first blood in a round.
In our opinion, we feel like MIBR might pull some tricks out of their bag and go on to win this game with a 2-0 scoreline. It does feel like Erick “aspas” Santos, Roberto “Mazino” Rivas, and Ian “tex” Botsch will have something to prove as they face off against their former organization.
Our prediction for this match is 2-0 for MIBR.
