Legacy have been crowned champions of the $1 million CS Asia Championships (CAC) 2025 in Shanghai after defeating 3DMAX in a thrilling grand finals this Sunday, October 19th.
The match between Legacy and 3DMAX marked a rare clash of national teams nowadays, as we’ve got to see Brazil vs. France rather than two international teams. And today, it was the Brazilian way that prevailed.
CAC 2025 was already a historic milestone for Legacy, as they’ve reached the playoffs of an international tournament for the first time since they impressed everybody at the BLAST.tv Austin Major in June.
And Lucas “lux” Meneghini’s men made it even more special, as they overcame 3DMAX, a higher-ranked team, to win the first big international Counter-Strike trophy in the history of Legacy. The Brazilian organization has been around since 2023 and has mostly played in tier-two tournaments.
This title run also marks a new beginning in the careers of Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer and Bruno “latto” Rebelatto, two players who always had the potential to carry the Brazilian flag high.

It wasn’t easy for Legacy, though. The Brazilians started the finals on the right foot, stealing Nuke, 3DMAX’s map pick, with a comfortable 13-6 victory. But the French team struck back with wins on Dust2 (13-11) and Inferno (13-5), putting Legacy on the ropes.
Legacy tied the series with a hard-fought win on Train (13-10), and carried the momentum to Ancient, where they absolutely decimated 3DMAX and won by 13-6 to secure the CAC 2025 title.
Latto was the MVP of CAC 2025, as he was their most consistent player throughout the tournament, and he kept that level in the finals. The 22-year-old top-fragged with 82 kills, and averaged a 1.19 rating across the five maps.
Lux, the captain of the team, spoke to the official CAC 2025 broadcast after the match was over:
We’ve been through a lot as a team in these last months. We weren’t playing as a team, we weren’t being a team. And winning this tournament is a feeling that I couldn’t even imagine. We’re away from home for three months, but getting this trophy makes it worth.
And, the day for Brazilian Counter-Strike is just getting started, as FURIA will play Natus Vincere in the grand finals of the Thunderpick World Championship 2025 in Malta later this Sunday.
