LEC Winter 2025 is in full swing as Fnatic and Karmine Corp are slated to butt heads soon, but for fans looking to make a smart betting pick, which team is more likely to come out on top?
League of Legends has seen a drastic rise in popularity thanks to multiple factors. From Arcane’s grandiose conclusion to the beloved in-game Noxus season, player interest is higher than it has been in years. The culmination of this can be seen in the game’s esports scene, which continues to bring in big numbers.
With the ongoing LEC Winter 2025, ten fan-favorite European teams are duking it out to claim the title of LEC champion. Two highlight teams are Fnatic and Karmine Corp. While Fnatic is more globally known, that doesn’t cement it as the favorite Having the same wins and losses coming into the new week, both teams are slated to meet on the Summoner’s Rift on February 2.
Fnatic and Karmine Corp have done an excellent job in the LEC thus far, holding a three-way lead over the other teams alongside KOI. Fnatic will try to create some distance against those teams it’s tied with, but there’s a good chance that Karmine Corp could still come out on top.
With a 1.78 line on Fnatic winning the game against Karmine Corp’s 2.00, the match is fairly close. Fans so far have seen Karmine Corp consistently take a strong lead in the early game by focusing on first kills and objectives, including turrets.
Fnatic is an excellent team, but has seen an inconsistent performance so far this year. The side had a disappointing start to the series, but it has turned things around and won each game since.
Karmine lost a game to GIANTX, but most of its wins have been decisive, coming in under 30 minutes. Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert in particular has played at a high level with his aggressive play from the ADC position.
The tipping point for most fans was Karmine Corp’s win against Team Heratics. Winning in such a dominant fashion against a quality opponent made the team the favorite here for many, even if the match will be the closest thing to a betting coin toss the LEC has seen so far this season.
Fans keeping up with the LEC will know that Karmine Corp has already secured a spot in the playoffs.
But it doesn’t seem like that’s enough for Karmine’s players. KC mid laner Vladimiros “Vladi” Kourtidis has made clear after a KC win over Heretics that the team is determined to win the whole thing.
According to Vladi, Fnatic is the strongest team in the LEC besides Karmine Corp. He understandably claims that Karmine will win the upcoming match, and he isn’t alone in the prediction. Many fans tuning in to the LEC are on Karmine’s side, largely thanks to how convincingly the team has managed the games in which it has been victorious.
That strong form may be enough to make Karmine Corp a strong betting pick over Fnatic despite its underdog status.
