The LEC Spring Split is about to begin with renewed hype thanks to G2 Esports’ performance at First Stand 2026. The LEC Versus champion beat Gen.G 3-0 and showed that Europe is still a competitor on the international stage.
Now, ten teams will compete in the LEC to earn one of the two slots to play in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2026 at the beginning of Summer. Here are our power rankings for the LEC Spring Split 2026, and here’s what makes teams stand out or fall behind.

Can SK Gaming depart from the bottom of the LEC? Image source: Wojciech Wandzel / Riot Games
SK Gaming is a team formed of the players Mikyx saw potential in. In the LEC Versus, that potential did not come to fruition as the team finished last among LEC teams.
In Spring, they have their work cut out for them. While synergy may take time to build, all of them are legacy players. This roster was expected to find its form earlier or never.

While only one spot above, Shifters’ potential looks far higher than that of SK. This team managed to punch high already, but they lack consistency.
If the roster turns out to mesh well, they could place far above expectations. However, potential is plenty in Europe, so having that alone may not be enough to win the necessary games.

Team Heretics is a clear middle-of-the-pack roster. They can take games off of anyone including the best, but they can’t keep it together come playoffs.
In fact, Team Heretics hasn’t won a single playoff match in the past two years. The one that they won in Spring 2024 was one of only two match victories in the playoffs in the team’s history.

Starting 2026 with a new roster, NAVI is another team that performed incredibly in best-of-one but failed to get anywhere in the playoffs. The problem is that this leaves little room for improvement.
While the team will become better with a bit more time, the top of the bracket is already too stacked and they’re unlikely to breach it.

GX is at the top of the mid-tier teams. Steadily improving split after split, GiantX will qualify for playoffs, and will then likely take out any team below them.
In fact, they could go as high as fourth place based on who faces whom in the bracket. However, they too have never won against G2, MKOI, KC, or even FNC.

Will Fnatic’s Spring Split run disappoint once more? Image source: Wojciech Wandzel / Riot Games
Fnatic, the disappointment since 2018. No matter what happens or how good they look, FNC cannot win in the finals. With the rise of MKOI and KC, they’re now underdogs in those matches as well.
In the LEC Versus, FNC had one of their worst splits to date, looking lifeless in the playoffs. If they’re back from this slump, they’re a top four team for sure; otherwise, they might go out in the regular season.

In the LEC Versus, Vitality finished low after facing MKOI and KC. However, they’re the most promising team to challenge the top three.
VIT hasn’t been there yet thus far, but maybe the Spring Split will be the one.

Enter the locally interchangeable top three, with MKOI!
Movistar KOI usually finishes in the top three and is a clear contender for first place – before faltering at internationals.
Judging by the beginning of the year, this LEC Spring Split should be no different.

MKOI’s biggest rival, KC also wants to claim G2’s throne. In the LEC Versus playoffs, G2 continuously had the upper hand, but the French team showed that they will exploit any crack that G2 or any other team shows.
Karmine Corp is a force to be reckoned with, and one that’s eager to take to the international stage again by qualifying for MSI.

Coming back from First Stand with their heads high, G2 showed the world that the LEC is alive and kicking. In São Paulo, they beat both BNK FearX and the undefeated giant of Gen.G 3-0, back to back.
While Bilibili Gaming beat them in return, they now face their region as the team to dethrone. All of G2 stepped up, and their rivals will have to do the same to stand a chance against the best LoL team in Europe.
