Mirage is a classic map in CS2, and even though it’s old, players are always developing new ways to smoke out A site.
While Mirage is a balanced location, CTs often find it easier to secure rounds in this dusty setting. On the flip side, Ts can also win by using some helpful smokes. For example, A site is best tackled if each person learns a smoke for CT spawn, jungle, and stairs. But coordinating these smokes can be tricky. What if a single player could throw two smokes consecutively? This would save time and ensure that the jungle and stairs are both smoked out at the same time.
Here’s how to pull off the A Mirage double smoke like a pro.
There are multiple ways to smoke jungle and stairs on Mirage A, but no lineup is as simple as this newly discovered dual smoke setup.
To get a player to throw two smokes, players will need to convince a teammate to share their utility. Ask a teammate to drop a smoke in spawn near the palace entrance wall. Players will also need to purchase their own smoke for this to work.
For the first lineup, which is for the jungle, stick close to the wall that connects with the palace. Now, place the crosshair at the top-mid of the right window, as seen in the video. Press the jump and throw keys simultaneously to smoke off the jungle.
The second smoke is equally simple and has a quick first lineup closer to the jungle smoke setup. Walk close to the steps and place the crosshair in the middle of the roof. Jump and release the smoke grenade to block out the top of the stairs on A site.
Both of these smokes have a two-second gap, which makes this setup highly viable for quick A takes. However, for a foolproof setup, players will still need to ask a teammate to throw the CT smoke.
This is a multi-purpose lineup. While its primary purpose is to save time and throw coordinated smokes, it can also be used to mislead enemies. Since this lineup requires only one player, the rest can walk towards B while one person uses utility to fake an A execute.
