The LCS favorites come and go over the years, but Cloud9 has been the one contender in every single split in the LCS’s history. Regardless of their and others’ rosters, they always show up. The LCS Lock-in 2026 is no different.
C9 got the first seed while only dropping a single game to FlyQuest. In the process, they beat the three most hyped teams in North America – TL, LYON, and FLY. Cloud9 are assuredly the team to beat and the safest team to bet on.
Below them is a mixed bag. FlyQuest, one of our recommended LoL teams to watch this season, brings an entirely new roster of young players, and they’ve played well. The LTA champions are the second best team coming into the playoffs. With the roster being new, they definitely have the potential to level up and snatch the trophy from C9’s hands.
Sentinels and Disguised, at 2-1 each, were two teams without expectations. In the end, they both also finished 2-1 and in much better shape than anticipated. On the other side of that coin are LYON and Team Liquid. Both of these squads were even named as contenders for the trophy. With LYON picking up the twice MVP Inspired and the carry Berserker and TL acquiring 100T’s mid laner Quid, they were set up for greatness.
So far, they’ve attained none of that glory. TL even only qualified through the last chance tiebreaker.
