To the surprise of no 2025 viewer, Gen.G, one of the LoL teams to watch this season, are the heavy favorites to win the LCK Cup 2026. Initially given as outright winners with 3.0 odds on GG.Bet Esports as of January 13th, the team didn’t lose a single game in the Group stage, finishing 11-0.

Right behind them were T1, at 3.5 LoL odds. Faker’s team didn’t lose any match either, but finished 11-3 in game score. The group format of the LCK Cup means that T1 and Gen.G haven’t faced each other this year yet, and T1 is the only team that could stop them. However, they have their work cut out for them.

T1 has given us the same story for several years now: they’re much weaker during the year, qualify for Worlds in an unimpressive way, and then win the whole thing while Gen.G falters again. It’s not just a coincidence, either. T1 powers up at internationals, but loses a lot of practice time during the year by doing media days instead.

Gen.G are the clear favorites to win the LCK Cup 2026, with T1 as the runner-up that could perhaps upset them. When thinking about betting, these two teams are safe to consider winners against any other opponents. As for the round 1 matches, they are in fact both rematches. BFX already beat DNS 3-1 earlier in the LCK Cup, and DK won against DRX 2-0.
