Players have just a few days left to get all of the Fortnite Pirates of the Caribbean skins before they set off to sea.
What better way to end the summer and Season 3 than a seafaring adventure? As the latest of many collabs, Fortnite launched the Pirates of the Caribbean event on July 16 and traded out cars for sailing vessels. Several weapons like the flint-lock pistol were unvaulted, and new skins were revealed. Pirates are notably flighty, so they aren’t likely to stay in Fortnite for too much longer.
With the Cursed Sails event ending on August 6, here’s every unlockable or purchasable Fortnite Pirates of the Caribbean skin.
Four different Fortnite Pirates of the Caribbean skins are available either in the shop or as part of the premium rewards track.
This is the first collaboration with Fortnite and the Pirates of the Caribbean, although certainly not the first one with Disney. The four added skins represent some of the most iconic pirates out there, and all skins come with both a regular and Lego version.
“That’s ‘Captain’ Jack Sparrow.”
The original pirate of the Caribbean himself, Jack Sparrow has been cursed more times than one would think was possible. His first love? The sea. His second love? His ship, the Black Pearl. He’s either the best or worst pirate depending on who’s answering, and may achieve true glory if he doesn’t drink himself to a watery grave first.
Jack Sparrow is only available through the premium rewards track, which costs 1,000 vbucks. However, players can then use his skin immediately upon unlocking the track. Captain Sparrow additionally has a cursed skin, which players can unlock with 11,000 quest gold.
“Pirate King and captain of her fleet.”
While she was never supposed to become a sea marauder, anyone has to admit that Elizabeth Swann wears it well. The former governor’s daughter turned pirate on the Black Pearl, she traded her stuffy life for one of adventure – and Fortnite suits that new life well.
“Infamous captain of the Flying Dutchman.”
Davy Jones is the second cursed pirate in the set, being condemned to forever sail the ghostly Flying Dutchman. As the saying goes, if you love something, let it go. If it never comes back, then trap it in a mortal body and tear your own heart out to keep it safe in an underwater locker. Jones features heavily in the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie and seems to have made landfall once again in Fortnite.
“Master pirate and mutineer.”
Though less visually frightening than a tentacle-crab-ghost pirate, Captain Barbossa served under Jack Sparrow before ultimately leading a mutiny. He died and then was resurrected, became a privateer and then a pirate again, tried to kill Jack, and then allied with him. All these dead men are certainly telling a lot of tales.
Swann, Davy Jones, and Barbossa all have their own bundles with character-themed back bling and pickaxes. For those who are willing to spend more to get more, they should look into the Pirates of the Caribbean bundle for 3,4oo vbucks. The bundle contains all three purchasable pirate outfits and individual items for each.
While collecting the Pirates of the Caribbean skins, players have the opportunity to get other items through bundles and quests.
The Fortnite Pirates of the Caribbean bundle doesn’t only contain outfits. Rather, anyone purchasing the set will also receive various cosmetic items.
Additionally, players can get other bonuses by completing quests for either the free or premium track. Below are some of the items that can be unlocked by earning enough questing gold, with premium rewards bolded.
All Pirates of the Caribbean skins and rewards will disappear like a ghost ship into the night on August 6 at 4 am EST. After that, they’ll surely be vaulted in Davy Jones’ locker.
