This Sunday, KT Rolster faces Hanwha Life Esports in a rematch of what was a battle for first place in week five.

As this season of the LCK advances, Hanwha Life Esports only becomes stronger. HLE’s shortcomings from the LCK Cup clearly were a product of the roster having yet to mesh together.
In the LCK Rounds 1-2, Hanwha Life lost to T1 in the first week and has had an untainted record since then. Now on an 11-game winning streak, HLE has won against every other LCK team, twice already for some of them.
In each role, the team packs carries that could make a solid case for being the current best player in their lane. While some of them aren’t always consistent, the team as a whole is.
Seo “Kanavi” Jin-heok is their most volatile player, Yoo “Delight” Hwan-joong isn’t far behind, and Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong sometimes forgets that he’s not playing with Ryu “Keria” Min-seok anymore.
It all came together to make them fall in the Esports World Cup Korea Qualifier earlier this week. As they faced Dplus KIA, they lost as most of the team forgot what to do.
Against them is KT Rolster, the former unexpected first place of the LCK. During the LCK Round 1, they claimed the spot that Gen.G left vacant as the team above all others. Since getting their first loss to HLE, KT seemingly lost their strength.
KT Rolster is still in second place with a score of 10-3, but the worrying part is that they lost to a rebuilding BNK FearX and to HANJIN BRION. Two unexpected losses (although the latter isn’t surprising) that don’t bode well against a solid team like HLE.
