With just over one week left in the LCK Rounds 1-2 2026, KT Rolster is fighting to hold onto their top two spot in the league. Alongside T1, Gen.G is in prime position to take that spot from them. Even with their regular rosters, the tides had already started turning between these two teams. After a rockier start to their season, Gen.G went back to winning most of their games.
That being said, where they stand is still uncertain. Gen.G’s seven-match win streak was exclusively against opponents under the top four. The team has lost a game against each of Hanwha Life Esports, KT, and T1, and has only won one in return so far.
Additionally, we know them for being this unbeatable team regionally. That hasn’t held true this split, after they’ve dramatically fallen off since their loss to G2 Esports at First Stand. With four defeats, Gen.G has lost more matches this split than any regular season since Spring 2023.
However, KT Rolster doesn’t stand all clean either. Up from usually being a goofy team, KT has spent the first half of the split filling Gen.G’s shoes. Looking almighty against each opponent they faced, they installed a new order for the league until HLE punched them down.
Since then, KT has conceded additional losses to HANJIN BRION and BNK FEARX, who were respectively sitting at 2-7 and 3-8. Afterwards, they won against HLE. In the end, it’s impossible to figure out where this team stands.
The problem is that KT has been playing with a substitute ADC this week. This sole factor entirely tips the scales in Gen.G’s favor.
