KT Rolster has made history at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship, advancing to the semifinals for the first time in the organization’s history after a dominant 3-0 sweep over CTBC Flying Oyster.
In an interview with Jaxon.GG, KT’s support and Worlds rookie Jeong “Peter” Yoon-su reflected on the team’s journey, his mindset throughout the tournament, and what it means to help lead KT Rolster to their first-ever Worlds semifinal.
KT Peter: Honestly, I think I’m most surprised at myself. And I think last night I went to sleep just, we call it mind control, but just picturing all the scenarios that I can expect in my head and just trying to put myself into that winning mindset. And I thought the essence of everything is just the fact that I can be here and play in this international tournament, I think I’m just really grateful for that. So I told myself, I think I should have the most fun, as much fun as I can. And I think that has brought me such great results. So I think my true feelings right now is I’m just full of gratitude and I’m just really happy.
[Laughs] Yes, I think just from the moment we were setting up it just felt like today was our day. I just felt it. Just going back, I think our practice yesterday, I just felt like the game wasn’t going the way I wanted. So I think the most important part I needed to focus on was just mentality, because I told myself, ‘oh, maybe it’s not that my games are not going well because of outside factors, maybe it’s just my perspective. It’s not that the game is making me inconvenient, it’s just that I’m thinking that way.’
So that’s why it feels that way. So I think I try to apply that as much as I can, and in order to apply that I knew that I had to enjoy the game and have fun. So I think maybe that’s why it led all the way up to me enjoying the game without feeling nervous — with Braum in game one especially.
Rather than having a specific champion, I think it will just be those common meta picks that I want to play against Gen.G, and I want to win against them with those picks. And yeah, there is no particular champion that I want to really have fun with. I think I’ll just play with the mindset that I will win.

Honestly, I do agree with all those people that pick Gen.G to be the favorites of this tournament. And when I think about it, Gen.G are definitely that perfect and flawless team, and I do consider them as a favorite as well. But if I don’t believe that I can win it all, then who will? And I think for me, personally, I just have to make sure that I have that mindset that I will win no matter what. And I think that’s just going to be my default mindset into the rest of the matches that I face in the future. And I will just always think about all those fans and my family and friends that have faith in me, and I will make it come true.
Honestly, since I debuted it I have very little experience, but I think just to reach this point, I have gone through a lot of ups and downs and just a lot of things in general. So I think even this short journey at World so far, I have seen myself grow a lot and that’s probably what made me to be like this today.
What a great question, I think the first thing that comes to my mind is that to reach this point, I just had to put myself down in terms of being humble. And I think I had to always start from the lowest point and just always be modest while playing the game to add on. I think if I were to sum everything up, I think I have sacrificed myself the most because I had to really put everything down, my ego down and just try to throw out my personal thoughts and my opinions and beliefs just to get to this point.
