Kotoka Torahime has a loyal fan following who enjoy her cooking streams and popular music covers. On May 22, Kotoka Torahime shocked those fans by announcing her graduation from Nijisanji after what had become an irregular streaming pattern.
Vtuber Kotoka Torahime stated she’ll graduate from Nijisanji on May 28 because of a difference in opinion between her and members of management.
Kotoka Torahime streamed the announcement on her YouTube channel and didn’t waste time or mince any words before stating her intention to graduate from Nijisanji. The vtuber said she began to think about graduating when she realized she wouldn’t be able achieve her goals or dreams while still at Nijisanji. She went on to say that she loves the atmosphere of Nijisanji EN, but differences with its management have led her to announce her departure.
Kotoka Torahime elaborated further that she didn’t take the decision lightly, but ultimately reached the conclusion that leaving Nijisanj is best for her. She praised management for trying to help her during the process by offering alternatives. The vtuber apologized to fans for not streaming as consistently of late and thanked them for their support over the years, then ended the announcement by saying that a lot is going through her mind and she’ll talk about it all in another stream.
Nijisanji EN issued a statement on its X account and thanked Kotoka Torahime for her contributions to the agency. The tweet especially expressed gratitude for the vtuber uniting fans by fluently streaming in English and Japanese. The agency’s statement also said that all of the content on Kotoka Torahime’s YouTube channel will be made private on the same day as her graduation. The agency specified that this would be done at the vtuber’s request, though the content that will be private does excludes her popular music covers.
