Livestreaming platform KICK is taking a big step forward as it introduces game-integrated rewards, or “Drops”, in association with Rust developer Facepunch Studios.
The new feature was revealed at DreamHack Atlanta, where KICK was joined on stage by streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel, who appeared in KICK-themed Hazmat suit to promote the new Drops feature.
Launching later this month (November), the new feature will let viewers earn in-game items and cosmetic rewards just by watching eligible streams on KICK.
The new Drops system, which is aimed at increasing audience engagement and giving creators and game publishers a fresh promotional tool, will launch with an inaugural drops event. Running Nov. 13–23, the new event will include exclusive skins and cosmetics including a limited-edition KICK-branded Hazmat suit

“Drops marks a pivotal step in bridging gameplay and livestreaming on KICK, fueling a more interactive, rewarding, and connected experience for creators, brands, and audiences,” said Ryan Webb, head of operations at KICK. “This Rust drop is just the beginning.”
Oli Tierney, partnerships lead at KICK, emphasized the campaign’s creator-first approach.
“Facepunch Studios have been incredible collaborators, and we’re excited to introduce a streamer-led campaign that highlights the strength of creator-driven marketing backed by dedicated platform and developer partnership.”
Facepunch studios reportedly sees the integration as a natural evolution for Rust’s thriving streaming community.
“We’ve always loved how Drops connect our game, our creator community, and our players,” said Alistair McFarlane, executive producer on Rust and COO of Facepunch Studios.
“Bringing this feature to KICK is a massive step, and we can’t wait to see players rocking these new items. It’s time to raid with style.”
KICK has reported that it has more than 75 million users, and the platform’s introduction of Drops signals a clear push toward becoming a central hub for interactive game promotion. Its key rival, Twitch, and other platforms, such as Discord, have traditionally dominated this area.
KICK says Drops will provide developers a direct way to drive new content launches and player retention through rare digital assets.
