We had a relatively tame week when it comes to in-game Valorant news, but some major revelations from the professional side of things. Let’s take a look at what you might have missed.
One of the ongoing stories in Valorant is the playoff picture for Masters Stage 2 in Iceland. So far, most regions have locked-in the teams who will be representing them, with only Brazil and Latin America yet to secure their spots.
We had some big teams miss the cut as well. G2 in EU, 100T in NA, and Vision Strikers in Korea all won’t be participating in the Masters 2 LAN event.
So far, the teams that have qualified are as follows:
Speaking of Valorant Masters, Riot also announced that they would be hosting another LAN tournament for Masters 3, this time in Berlin.
For now, all we know is the location and the dates for VCT Masters 3 – September 9-19. We’ll probably learn more when Masters 2 concludes.
In other Valorant news, find out why console players can’t surrender, a decision that’s left many players frustrated.
Valorant’s newest map, Breeze, will not be featured in the rotation in Iceland for Masters 2. This news comes after Riot discussed the topic with pros in the space.
Although this is a good rule change, it probably won’t affect too much. Most teams won’t have time to properly strategize for the new map, which means it would almost always be banned.
It looks like we’ll have to wait until the next VCT and Masters 3 until we see how the pros handle Breeze.
