Rumors from credible CS2 sources have hinted that legendary captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen is set to leave FaZe to join Team Falcons.
If this change were to happen, it would be one of the most groundbreaking player transfers in years. Here’s what we know about Karrigan’s Team Falcons rumors.
Credible French insider KRL has revealed rumors suggesting long-time FaZe Clan in-game leader Karrigan is set to join Team Falcons for the upcoming IEM Cologne 2026 Major. This news follows FaZe’s recent failure to qualify for said tournament, with the organization missing Major qualification for the first time in history.
Karrigan’s reported transfer would send a massive shock to the community if it were to come to fruition. The Danish in-game leader isn’t one to jump ship often, as he has only played for two organizations over the past decade – FaZe Clan and mousesports.
The former FaZe captain would likely replace current Falcons in-game leader kyxsan.
If the transfer goes through, we’ll see the Team Falcons roster develop into the following:
Karrigan will be greeted by familiar faces in Team Falcons, as he’ll reunite with NiKo. The pair most notably played together in FaZe Clan in 2017 and 2018, where they lost the grand final of the 2018 Boston Major to Cloud9.
Since then, Karrigan found his Major victory at PGL Antwerp 2022, while NiKo is still left without a Major title.
The team’s coach, zonic, is another recognizable acquaintance, as the two Danes had a stint under Astralis. This will be some much-needed chemistry, as Karrigan and zonic will be in charge of strategy and calling. Meanwhile, we will likely see NiKo continue his role as a secondary caller.
Karrigan is also known for his ability to develop young talent, and he has plenty to work with. He’ll get the opportunity to work with two generational players in the form of m0NESY and kyousuke.
Even though Team Falcons are undoubtedly one of the best CS2 teams in the world, they’ve had a serious issue with winning tournaments. Despite all the star power and millions of dollars invested, the organization only has one trophy to their name.
It really looked like changes were inevitable, and a player like Karrigan would be one of the best upgrades possible. However, with only a few months until the IEM Cologne Major, Team Falcons will have to make some progress, fast.
IEM Rio 2026 will likely be the last time we see the current iteration of Team Falcons. Then, with Karrigan in the mix, all sights will be set on winning a trophy.
With the caliber of players the team has, anything less would be a total embarrassment.
