Karmine Corp has established itself as a powerhouse League of Legends team in the LEC 2025 Spring split, losing only to Fnatic. The team’s next match is against Team Vitality, and many smart betters are wondering whether Vitality has any upset potential.
The current LEC split is nearing its conclusion as the last week kicks off. Week 7 is slated to be another LEC road trip week, similar to the fifth week of play. The first day will see Karmine Corp vs Team Vitality, though both teams have another match lined up for the next day.
While Team Vitality is currently in a safe position considering its place in the playoffs is guaranteed, the same can’t be said for Team Vitality. Vitality will need to give its all against KC or risk elimination.
Karmine Corp is currently in a great position. The team won the previous LEC Winter split, reached the First Stand finals, and has defeated some strong European teams recently. The team’s standout player is easily jungler Yike, who ensures Karmine Corp’s objective acquisition is consistently high. KC’s players are also individually skilled enough to hold their own, though Vladdi and Caliste have the most carry potential based on their recent performances.
Team Vitality is in no way a weak team, but those who only watched their current LEC games may think otherwise. From the top laner and jungler not performing as well as they should to the team having some disastrous early games, Vitality has been in a bad spot recently.
While it seemed like things were turning around with the match against Moviestar KOI, Vitality’s performance against G2 Esports shattered those assumptions. In particular, the extremely high death count Vitality’s support player Nisqy took displayed is one of the side’s biggest red flags as the team prepared to face off against KC. Caliste’s aggressive playing style may let him snowball a gold advantage if he can catch Nisqy out a number of times.
Below are the rosters for both teams:
Karmine Corp:
Team Vitality:
Karmine Corp has a surprisingly wide champion pool that the team tends to pick from. The most common champions from that pool include Gnar, Ambessa, Vi, Akali, Taliyah, Yone, Miss Fortune, and Alistar.
Team Vitality’s champion pool is smaller, so it’s safer to guess which picks the team could go with. While the top and ADC players mix things around a lot, players can expect to see Vitality pick Pantheon, Naafiri, Ahri, and Alistar against KC.
In the five times Karmine Corp and Team Vitality have faced off against each other, KC has won three times. This gives the team an advantage over Vitality, though the margin isn’t too high.
Considering Karmine Corp’s strong performance lately, it makes sense that the team is the favorite to win against Vitality with a betting line of 1.10. Vitality’s line of 6.60 establishes it as the underdog.
The biggest threat for Team Vitality may not be the opposition, but rather the team’s own support player. Nisqy has a bad habit of not caring for his own life, and while that could be good for a player with perfect engage, Nisqy’s play hasn’t been to the level required to give Vitality much of an advantage. Instead, he’s more likely to feed the enemy than get his teammates fed, as was the case against G2.
Every time Vitality has lost in the current LEC split has been by a definitive 0-2 score, and the same will likely happen against Karmine Corp. Vladi and Caliste may get enough kills to carry their team to victory, especially when paired with the jungle objectives Yike is likely to secure.
