Jett may now be the worst Valorant agent, here’s why

Best Pearl agents Jett

If there’s one Valorant agent that has withstood the test of time, it’s Jett. Due to her consistently high pick rate across acts, she’s often considered untouchable. However, Jett may end up as the worst Valorant agent in 2025. Here’s why.

Valorant has seven duelists, but only a few are favored as actual fraggers, capable of stacking kills on the board. Among them, Neon, Reyna, Raze, and Jett consistently compete for the title of best duelist. In ranked matches, Jett has historically edged out her competitors. Her well-rounded kit, which excels on nearly every map, makes her a reliable pick for pro teams. Yet, Jett remained a constant threat to Raze’s popularity.

This was all thanks to Valorant’s map pool, which allowed Jett to maximize the potential of her dashes and Updrafts. However, with recent map rotations in Valorant, Jett’s future seems a bit uncertain.

Who is the worst Valorant agent?

It’s too soon to make any claims since Valorant map rotation is still pretty fresh. But it appears Jett has the potential to be one of the worst Valorant agents in the coming months.

The Valorant 10.0 update has finally rotated Ascent out of the map pool. With Icebox also on the sidelines, Jett finds herself with fewer maps where she can truly excel. In fact, the current ranked map pool heavily favors agents like Neon, Raze, or even Reyna for their adaptability and utility in fast-paced matches.

For context, here are all active Valorant maps and duelists who excel on each:

  • Abyss: Jett, Neon
  • Bind: Raze, Reyna
  • Split: Raze, Reyna
  • Pearl: Neon, Raze
  • Fracture: Neon, Raze,
  • Lotus: Raze, Neon
  • Haven: Jett, Neon

In the esports scene, this shift is already apparent. Pro players are beginning to favor Neon over Jett, even on maps that were once considered Jett’s stronghold.

Pearl and Haven were once strong maps for Jett, but recent tournaments show Neon has taken her spot. Buffs to Neon have made her the preferred pick, with a 50% pick rate on Haven at VCT Champions 2024 compared to Jett’s 22%. At the Red Bull Homegrounds, the gap was even wider. Neon hit 79% on Haven and 80% on Pearl, while Jett lagged behind at 13% and 10%. Based on these stats, Abyss is currently the only map that’s keeping Jett relevant.

Simply put, it’s not just the map rotation that’s working against Jett. Buffs for other duelists and changing game meta are no longer helping her case, putting her at risk of irrelevancy for the first time in Valorant’s history.

It’s possible that casual players may continue to favor Jett’s Updrafts in ranked games, but a major shift is evident in the premier and pro scene in 2025.
