In the LPL, WBG has never proven themselves this season. Weibo regularly is a threat, but never consistently enough to rank among the great. Two series can display a very different form, even two games within the same match.
Weibo Gaming is a combination of players who can be among the best, but also often aren’t. Every match, Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-Hao shows his World-class strength for one or two games, then has a poor performance in the others. That being said, he fared well against Tsai “HongQ” Ming-Hong for most of 2026.
WBG has had a good second half of the split. Should they manage to continue with that form, they would be much more of a challenge than their record would suggest. Again, the problem is that there never is any guarantee that they will.
Against them, JDG is on the opposite end of the spectrum. While no LPL team shines by its consistency, their victories often look similar. JDG is more of a known quantity and the rest of the Chinese league gravitates around them.
In the past couple of weeks, Weibo subbed in Xu “TheHank” Hai-Han for the support role. It is since then that the team has been on a four-series win streak. With Zhao “Elk” Jia-Hao being the stable rock of WBG, they might have significantly leveled up with this new addition.
