JD Gaming and Anyone’s Legend compete in the first qualifying match of the Esports World Cup 2026 Online Qualifier for China. The winner of this match will claim the LPL’s second seed at the EWC 2026, while the loser will get a second chance against Bilibili Gaming.
Betting tip: Teams in the LPL haven’t shown the most consistency in 2026. In spite of this, JD Gaming consistently has Anyone’s Legend’s number, beating them four times out of the five series they’ve played.

The match-up between JDG and AL has been boiling down to opposing mismatched strengths. JD Gaming has stronger teamfights, and a mid and bot laner who can easily carry games. Most notably, Tsai “HongQ” Ming-Hong will play aggressively in lane and regularly claims solo kills as a result.
Against them, AL has a better macro overall, particularly in terms of managing side lanes. However, even their macro has shown regular flaws during the Spring split.
Anyone’s Legend has a poor management of their vision setup. AL correctly places their vision early, but then they don’t stay around to control it afterwards. As a result, the opponents are free to remove their wards, and they have to retake the area afterwards. This leaves them exposed to disadvantageous fights in the meantime.
On top of it, the team struggles with decision making when the games are difficult. This has been an issue all season long, ever since their former head coach Wong “Tabe” Pak Kan left the team – to now be on the other side of the rift with JDG.
When Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong is ahead, AL fares much better, having someone to follow. However, Yu “JunJia” Chun-Chia won’t be one to let that happen easily. The jungler has an aggressive playstyle, and will create explosive gamestyles alongside his mid laner.
JDG has that game plan of going on the offensive early, and if it doesn’t work, they have a solid shot at reclaiming their lead with fights later on. If AL doesn’t play with solid discipline, they’ll give JDG all the leeway they could need.

JDG beat AL four out of five times this split, and their relative strengths explains why this keeps happening. Even when Anyone’s Legend dominated the LPL, JD Gaming initiated their downfall. Since these repeated victories are no fluke, JDG should take the match once more.
