Kryze joined Excel in May 2020 and played three splits with the organization, missing the playoffs by one game in each one of them. In the 2021 LEC summer split, Excel Esports finished with a 7W-11L record, leaving them once again one game short of sixth place.

Currently, Excel Esports have two players under contract: Markoon and Advienne. If Kryze’s contract extension goes through, XL would secure three players out of five as well as their head coach, with the mid lane and AD carry spots left to fill.
