One of Fortnite’s biggest streamers is back on Twitch after Jarvis returned for the first time since being banned for showing hacks live on stream.
Back in 2019, Jarvis was one of Fortnite’s golden boys, racking up high view counts and clout alongside such big names as Ninja and Bugha. But his peak was to be short-lived. After getting slapped with multiple bans for cheating by Fortnite publisher Epic Games, the fallout spilled over to Twitch. Four years later, the streamer may finally be returning to the Amazon-owned streaming platform.
On April 8, Jarvis’ Twitch account came back to life after more than four years of showing the dreaded “temporarily unavailable” screen. Now that Jarvis is unbanned on Twitch, all eyes are on his potential Fortnite comeback, which is still up in the air. On April 8, he posted a vague teaser hinting that an Epic Games unban might be on the horizon.

Given his rocky history with the developer, it seems like a long shot for Jarvis. Unless, that is, his case qualifies under Epic’s new policy that offers second chances to players banned for over a year. As per the new policy, cheaters will experience a one-year matchmaking ban, and if they’re caught again after being reinstated, a lifetime ban will be applied. Despite Jarvis’ unapologetic stance on the cheating incident, there’s still a chance he could be unbanned in Fortnite, but it remains far from a sure thing.
Jarvis was reportedly banned from Twitch in 2020 for trying to sidestep his Fortnite cheating ban. The reason was never officially confirmed, but ban evasion is widely speculated to be the cause after he attempted to stream Fortnite despite Epic’s strict guidelines on banned players.
Jarvis received a permanent ban from Fortnite in November 2019 after being caught using an aimbot during a YouTube stream. The ban was applied to both Epic accounts due to the severity of the violation. The streamer posted a tearful apology, claiming he had never used hacks in competitive play and that the aimbot was only intended for an instructional video. But Epic held its ground, and Jarvis tried to dodge the ban just a year later on Twitch.
In 2020, he streamed Fortnite again while playing from a different account while live on Twitch. 15 minutes into the broadcast, Jarvis was banned from both Fortnite and Twitch. In 2021, he teased a Fortnite comeback on YouTube, but that never happened. It could be that his being unbanned from Twitch is now a prelude to the same happening in Fortnite.
