Leaks are pointing to a collaboration between Porsche and Fortnite, but will fans be able to roam the map in the brand’s iconic GT3?
Epic Games has continued to collaborate with supercar brands ever since the release of the Rocket Racing mode in Fortnite. This includes BMW, Lamborghini, Nissan, and even Tesla, which brought the Cybertruck into Fortnite and Rocket League. Now, multiple leakers, including trusted source SamLeaks, are claiming Porsche is next.
The leak has car enthusiasts hoping for the GT3 in Fortnite.
Porsche has confirmed the 911 Turbo won’t be in Fortnite, leading fans to believe the GT3 will be its replacement.
The collab between Fortnite and Porsche is not coming as a surprise after Epic worked with so many other luxury brands. The real question the car community has is which Porsche will be racing into Fortnite and Rocket League.
One fan asked SamLeaks if it will be the same Porsche that was in Rocket League back in Season 12, the Porsche 911 Turbo. This is one of the most popular Porsche models due to its high performance IRL. The Porsche 911 Turbo reaches speeds of 198 miles per hour with 572 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, reaching 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. It’s one of Porsche’s most iconic cars, but it won’t be the brand’s representative in Fortnite.
But SamLeaks responded that it’s a completely new Porsche this time around.
One of the most mentioned cars on fans’ wishlists is the Porsche 911 GT3. Another 911 sports car, the GT3 has a track speed of 193 miles per hour and gets from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. While some may think the Porsche 911 Turbo and GT3 are nearly identical, the cars have completely different performances. The GT3 is better suited for turns on the track thanks to its large wing, front suspension, and minimal interior.
An interesting possibility could be the Porsche Taycan. As electric vehicles continue to take over the future of the car market, it’s possible that Porsche will feature its own electric vehicle option in this collaboration to get fans excited.
Fans will have to wait for Epic Games to make an official announcement, but things are looking good for mutual fans of both Fortnite and the Porsche GT3.
