Nick “Lacy” Fosco has announced that he is leaving FaZe Clan, but many fans are confused about whether the streamer is serious or just joking.
Multiple trendy streamers are part of popular gaming and streaming organization FaZe Clan. One of the most popular among them is Lacy. The streamer began his career by streaming Fortnite and now produces a broader variety of content. He is significantly popular on Twitch and has over 1.1 million followers on the livestreaming platform. The streamer attempted to conduct a subathon in December 2025, but ended it within 15 minutes.
Lacy was banned from Twitch in January 2025, but the platform unbanned him less than an hour later after CEO Dan Clancy’s direct intervention. The ban’s prompt lifting embroiled Lacy in controversy as outraged fans claimed the platform showed favoritism towards him and FaZe Clan. Lacy is now once again in the news, and this time it’s because the streamer has claimed he is leaving FaZe Clan.
In a tweet, Lacy announced that he was kicked from FaZe Clan and is searching for another organization to join.
Lacy joined FaZe Clan on May 1, 2024, during FaZe Bank’s reboot of the organization. He was the fourth member to join the rebooted FaZe Clan. Less than four months before his first anniversary with the FaZe Clan, Lacy has announced that he has parted ways with the organization.
On January 8, 2025, Lacy shocked fans when he tweeted on X that he isn’t a part of the FaZe Clan anymore. The streamer also stated that he was looking for another organization to represent. The tweet was brief and straightforward, but it still confused fans. It’s unknown if the streamer was kicked because of his recent controversial unban from Twitch, or if there are other matters at play behind the scenes.
The unexpected announcement divided fans in their opinions. Some stated that FaZe Clan was home for Lacy and expressed their displeasure at his leaving the organization. Others claimed that it was a good thing that FaZe kicked Lazy as he wasn’t, in their opinion, worthy of being in the organization.
It’s unclear at the time of writing whether Lacy has really been removed from the FaZe Clan roster or if he is just joking with his fans. It’s possible that the entire announcement is a bit meant to generate further headlines and controversy, and if that’s the case, it does seem to be working.
Another FaZe Clan member has also expressed his desire to leave the organization. In a stream, Joshua “YourRage” Maynard said that he just wants to watch anime on stream like Darren “IShowSpeed” Jason Watkins Jr. The streamer claimed that FaZe has “no motion” behind it, leading him to yearn for departure and a fresh start elsewhere.
