Is Ceres Fauna returning as independent vtuber LemonLeaf?

LemonLeaf Nimi Nightmare

Vtuber LemonLeaf returned from her hiatus when Hololive’s Ceres Fauna announced her graduation, but it looks like she is now rebranding herself as Nimi Nightmare.

LemonLeaf is an English-speaking independent vtuber who debuted in 2020. While she isn’t currently associated with any vtuber agency, she has been linked to the Twitch team Fuwatopia. The vtuber was best known for her ASMR content. In addition, she streamed herself playing games and drawing. In 2021, LemonLeaf went on a hiatus when she joined Hololive as Ceres Fauna.

Since then, the independent vtuber stopped posting all her content. That changed when Ceres Fauna announced her graduation in 2024. Once LemonLeaf became active again, fans speculated that Ceres Fauna would use her past life to continue streaming. But fans have now noticed something that points towards LemonLeaf rebranding herself as Nimi Nightmare.

LemonLeaf might be rebranding herself as Nimi Nightmare

Fans noticed that LemonLeaf’s YouTube bio links to the X account of Nimi Nightmare and have speculated that the independent vtuber is now rebranding herself.

It’s common for agency-affiliated vtubers to use alternate accounts or keep their past lives active as a backup. Other Hololive vtubers to do this include Takanashi Kiara and Mori Calliope, who use their alternate accounts alongside their “official” accounts.

LemonLeaf Nimi Nightmare

LemonLeaf had completely ceased using her persona when she joined Hololive. This led to fans assuming she was returning once she went online after Ceres Fauna’s graduation announcement.

On January 4, 2025, a mere day after Ceres Fauna had graduated from Hololive, fans noticed that LemonLeaf’s YouTube bio had been freshly edited. The updated bio linked the X account of an unknown vtuber named Nimi Nightmare.

Fans began speculating online that LemonLeaf wants to start fresh and return as a new persona, possibly with a new goth model. This wouldn’t be the first time a vtuber had done such a thing, as previous Hololive technical genius Amelia Watson went in the same direction when she graduated.

Amelia’s past life was as the Twitch streamer Sachiowo, but after she graduated from Hololive the vtuber re-debuted as independent vtuber Dooby. It looks like Ceres Fauna is going the same route and will return as Nimi Nightmare instead of LemonLeaf. Regardless of her new name, model, and lore, fans are just excited that she will apparently be returning to streaming soon.
