Vtuber and former top Twitch streamer Ironmouse is leaving Vshojo and is accusing the agency of withholding money from both her and the Immune Deficiency Foundation charity.
Vshojo has long been one of the most recognizable Vtuber agencies on social media, and especially on Twitch. The company has backed a number of prominent Vtubers, though its ranks have dwindled of late with the departures of names like Zentreya and Matara Khan.
The departure of Ironmouse, who previously held the record for most concurrent subscriptions in Twitch history, would have been cataclysmic regardless. However, the streamer is leaving and accusing the company of withholding money from her and pocketing over $500,000 that was meant to go to the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Ironmouse announced that she is leaving Vshojo on July 21, 2025 due to the company refusing to pay out money to both her and the Immune Deficiency Foundation charity.
“I am leaving Vishojo. Unfortunately, I recently found out that for the past couple of months, I have been misled by Vishojo. With the information that I currently have, I believe that I am owed a significant amount of funds which I have not been paid. And most importantly, the thing that hurts me the most is that the Immune Deficiency Foundation, which is the most important charity to me and also the reason why I’m here today, is owed over half a million dollars from Vshojo,” Ironmouse said in a statement on YouTube.
Ironmouse did not say how much money she is owed by Vshojo. She stated that most of her finances from streaming were funneled directly through Vshojo due to privacy concerns, as working with the agency allowed her to avoid giving out personal information in her business dealings. She added she recently started looking to start handling her own finances, which led her to conclude that the company was withholding a significant amount of money from her and the charity.
The statement closed with her saying that there was more to the story, but that she would not come out with it publicly on the advice of her legal counsel.
As part of this, she delved into her history with the company, including her reluctance to sign. After she achieved major success, she added that she felt pressured by the company and was saddled with responsibility for Vshojo staff and its other streamers. Despite these accusations, she hailed the company for playing a major role in her rise to prominence.
Ironmouse is accusing Vshojo of withholding over $500,000 from the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Ironmouse suffers from common variable immune deficiency, an immunodeficiency disorder that has left her homebound for much of her life. The Immune Deficiency Foundation focuses on people suffering from CVID and other immunodeficiency disorders. Ironmouse and associates like Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun have worked extensively with the charity.
Ironmouse’s record-breaking subathon in 2024 included the promise to donate 50% of the revenue from Twitch subscriptions to the charity. She says this amounted to $515,000. Because of her financial arrangement with Vshojo, the charity money from this and other events went to the agency with the expectation of it making the donation in her name. A similar arrangement was used in her previous subathon, which she said went without issue.
Ironmouse says that the $515,000 from her 2024 subathon was never paid out to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Neither Vshojo nor the Immune Deficiency Foundation have made a public statement regarding Ironmouse’s accusations.
