Ironmouse performs new song at the Streamer Awards 2024

Ironmouse new song at streamer awards 2024

Vtuber Ironmouse performs her new song at the Streamer Awards 2024 to the delight of fans.

Ironmouse premiered a new song called “Cry For Me” at the Streamer Awards, even doing a live performance, ala Hatsune Miku. The catchy new song also samples the Gremlins theme at one point. Given Ironmouse’s personality, a Gremlins sample certainly fits her to a tee.

The overall reaction to the performance was largely positive. Her fans called it “beautiful” and “fire,” congratulating Ironmouse on her talent and new endeavors.  “My brain was so jumbled tonight. Thank you so much to my team and thank you to my amazing community for being the best community in the universe. Thank you all for changing my life. I love you all!” stated Ironmouse in a passionate speech.

Ironmouse’s growth in 2024 has been explosive. She became well known for her cozy gaming streams and rambunctious personality. As she got more comfortable with viewers, she began sharing details about her personal life. Ironmouse’s disease left her bedridden for most of her life. She became a vtuber to pursue dreams she otherwise could never have accomplished because of her disease. Since then, Ironmouse has become a pillar of the Western vtuber scene. She’s also a founding member of Vshojo, one of the most popular vtuber agencies outside the “big two,” Hololive and Nijisanji.

Ironmouse’s greatest feat came in her 2024 subathon. The stream then resulted in her breaking Kai Cenat’s sub-record of over 321,000 subscribers. In response to her incredible subathon success, Kai Cenat returned from his “basketball career” to try and take back his record. Mafianthon 2  doubled the female streamer’s subathon record by its end with over 728,000 subscribers. Although fans on both sides tried to start beef, Kai Cenat and Ironmouse had nothing but good things to say about each other.

When Ironmouse’s record was broken, she simply congratulated Cenat and even predicted he’d make it to 1 million subs. The two collaborated for the Mafiathon 2 finale with a virtual interview. Kai Cenat made his vtuber debut with a new 3D model, allowing the two to share the same digital space. The wholesome interaction between the two showcased that these record-breaking subathons don’t necessarily mean beef between creators.

Ironmouse’s performance at the Streamer Awards 2024 caps off a successful year for the vtuber. As mainstream acceptance of vtubers becomes widespread, Ironmouse’s popularity will only rise in 2025.
