Interview with KSWINNIIE

The first-ever Jaxon Apex Legends Cup is in the books, with 69IQ battling hard throughout to secure the win.

We saw some huge performances from multiple individuals and teams during the event, but it was KSWINIIE and 69IQ who took home first place.

After the win, we sat down with the IGL of 69IQ to chat to us about him and his team!

leonel

To start things of, lets talk about how 69iQ see themselves in the EMEA Region

KSWINNIIE

With the recent results we proved that we are a top 5 team in EMEA & we are constantly on top in the recent tournaments but we still have a lot to work on

leonel

What goals have you as a team set for yourself?

KSWINNIIE

Qualify for the championships & winning a major tournament in the next 6 months and find sponsorships & showing everyone that we work hard to be on top constantly.

leonel

How do you see the EMEA region?

KSWINNIIE

I think EMEA is way harder than other regions, it is really hard to be a consistent top 5 team in this region.

leonel

As an IGL, what are the things most important to you?

KSWINNIIE

As a team it's DISCIPLINE & hard work. During tournaments & even while practicing you have to give the same intensity & focus.

For myself I think rotation & micro decision are my IGL qualities and our dedication outside of the game for learning what type of plays didn't work, makes the job easier.

leonel

Talk about how the dynamic in this team works, you 3 seem to be different characters!

KSWINNIE

Slayers is a rock, Naghz the sun & I am the storm, I guess it's enough said

leonel

How did you guys overcome such a low IQ?

KSWINNIIE

We picked up an m&k player 😉

leonel

Talk to me about how you met your teammates.

KSWINNIIE

I met Slayers 1 years ago when we were grinding for top #1 world on Worlds Edge in Season 9. I ended up #4 when he ended #3 world & after that big grind, like 2 months I said to my community I was dreaming to play with that guy in comp & the opportunity to finally play together appeared so we took it & now here we are!

I met naghz more than 1 year ago in ranked, he was a ranked hero and we were playing against each other every day & he started to play comp, we watch each other a lot & grind couple of time in ranked together. The decision of Smeggytoe to leave the competition made us look for someone with the same profile.

Naghz old team was not performing as they should, so we offered him to play with us due to his profile which is looking the closest to Smeggytoe & that's why we made him an offer!

"Apex Legends is a really unfortunate game!"

leonel

How do you see Apex Legends as a game?

KSWINNIIE

I think Apex Legends is real unfortunate, the game was about to pop off during March 2020, then COVID appeared so the TEXAS LAN got cancelled.

During this time, they tried their best for having a good pro league & ALGS circuit in form but, unfortunately, no LAN can happen so only online competition.

Apex didn't get the visibility it deserved Overall I think Apex Legends could be the perfect game to play if there weren't so many bugs & cheaters in the game.

leonel

Tell the readers about the daily routine of an Apex pro team

KSWINNIE

I don't think we have the same routine as other pro teams, we are a new team so we have to put in way more work than other people for catching the HIGH level & consistency they have.

We usually play together 6 days a week with one hour warm up in the Firing Range.

Usual training is like 3 hours ranked before scrims, we play 3 hours scrim & 2 hours ranked afterwards. We also do some VOD review session after all & over than that it's free time.

leonel

Anything you want to tell your fans?

KSWINNIIE

We love you, thanks for the awesome support you guys provide us.

We don't do enough results comparing to what y'all deserve. I hope we gonna have a long adventure together & this is just the beginning of something way bigger.
