“I’m a gigachad,” Exclusive interview with vtuber Claudia Moneta

The streaming world was stunned when a virtually unknown content creator going by Claudia Moneta paid over $68,000 at an auction to win collaborations with some of the biggest names on Twitch, and Jaxon has secured an exclusive interview with the rising star.

Some applauded the vtuber for the massive donation and kickstarting her streaming career while others accused her of paying her way to the top. But it’s that kind of controversy that gets a gigachad like Claudia Moneta going. Curious who Claudia Moneta is after seeing her drop crazy racks? We reached out to the cyborg vtuber to find out how she had the moolah to make such big bids and what she plans to do with her streaming career.

What made you decide to start bidding in CDawgVA’s auction?

I took a look at the charity auction and thought that donating money to their cause along with getting these collabs would be awesome.

The idea of doing these collabs was absolutely a motivating factor, although I definitely wouldn’t have spent that money if it wasn’t going to charity. I had a certain amount of savings that I have built up and wanted to contribute a substantial amount to a great cause!

What made you keep bidding as it started to get to crazy amounts? 

I wanted to win, can’t really explain it other than that!

How do you have so much money?

I beat up nerds and take their lunch money.

How did you feel when you won all three auctions after the fraud bids were thrown out?

There were a lot of different emotions running through me. It all felt surreal and I was glad to have been able to donate so much and win. There were also a lot of people messaging me and posting in my Discord so I shared the hype with everyone!

Are you nervous to game or hang with such big Twitch streamers?

Not really! They’re just normal people and I’m a Gigachad so I’m looking forward to having them grovel at my feet.

What do you plan for the streams with Pokimane, Ironmouse, and Valkyrae?

Not really sure yet, but will probably mainly do Just Chatting instead of getting distracted by a game that might be scuffed. And honestly I can get pretty brutal when things get competitive so it might be best to avoid that or else I’ll leave them traumatized! [laughs]

With Ironmouse, how does it feel to collaborate with one of the biggest names in vtubing?

I’ll try to take it easy on her so she doesn’t get intimidated by my aura. Not sure if the mouse can handle it but I guess we’ll find out.

Any interview with Claudia Moneta has to address the haters. What do you say to those who are accusing you of “paying” your way to a vtuber career?

Obviously what I did has put a lot more eyes on me and in that sense I can understand why it could be viewed as “pay to win” (although it all goes to charity of course.) There are a lot of factors that can make a streamer successful — a mixture of talent, luck, money, connections, timing, etc can all make a difference and it depends on how you capitalize on that.

I intend to keep at it and if people want to stick around and watch my content then that’s what it’s all about!

Why vtubing instead of regular streaming?

I really liked the visuals of Live2D avatars and being a vtuber allowed me to fully immerse myself in my character! It also takes the pressure off in being able to look like a totally messy slob while streaming and no one can see!

What sets you apart as a cyborg? Do you have any robotic body parts or special skills?

I’m a combination of organic and synthetic, seamlessly fused together on a microscopic level! As for my special skills I’ll be dropping a lore video within the next couple of months that will reveal that… Let’s just say that I’m a f—ing badass. [laughs]

What is your vision for your vtubing career as it grows? 

World domination! No, I just take it one day at a time and try not to get in my head about hypotheticals. Most vtubers hope to become massive, and sure I’d love that too, but at the end of the day I just want to enjoy streaming and making cool content. And also to gather more servants for my harem, of course.

What is your favorite game of all time?

I love Soulslike games so probably Elden Ring.

What is a secret talent you have?

Getting killed by a Souls boss when they’re one hit away from dying…

What is your favorite brain rot term right now?

Gigachad.

If you could have any power, what would it be?

To use my gamer sweat as a healing potion!
