Ike Eveland is graduating from Nijisanji, here’s why

Ike Eveland graduation

Ike Eveland of Nijisanji is announcing his graduation from the agency while accepting full responsibility for the actions that led to this surprising decision.

Ike Eveland is an English-speaking virtual YouTuber who debuted in 2021 with Nijisanji EN’s fourth wave, Luxiem, alongside other vtubers like Luca Kaneshiro and Vox Akuma. He has become known as a content creator with a calm demeanor that hides a competitive nature. The vtuber shared many covers on his YouTube channel and by 2023 he hit the milestone of 900,000 YouTube subscribers, with the channel now nearing one million followers.

Ike Eveland has managed to garner a loyal fan following with engaging content over the years but he has recently been absent from streaming. The vtuber didn’t explain his prolonged break and has now surprised fans with more somber news. On April 30, Ninjisanji tweeted the announcement that Ike Eveland is graduating effectively immediately.

Why is Ike Eveland graduating?

Ike Eveland listed several reasons for his surprise announcement of graduating from Nijisanji and claims mental health is a significant factor.

Nijisanji praised and thanked Ike Eveland for his contributions to the agency since his debut in 2021. The agency continued that the vtuber can’t be thanked enough for all his hard work over the past three years and wished him the best as he moves forward.

Ike Eveland issued an official statement on his X account and accepted responsibility for his numerous absences leading to this graduation. The vtuber had been inactive in the past month and didn’t explain his absence until now. He apologized to his fans and claimed he had been going through a tough time recently while failing to address or communicate those issues publicly.

While the content creator listed mental health as a significant contributing factor, he said he now understands that he must take the issue more seriously. He also stated that he wasn’t transparent about his issues and failed to fulfill his responsibilities as a result. Ike Eveland went on to say that he has decided to “step away from the online space for good.”

He reiterated that he didn’t take the decision lightly but has thought about it deeply before coming to this conclusion. Ike Eveland thanked fans for their constant support and Nijisanji for the kindness the agency had shown him over the years.

Fans have noticed the vtuber’s YouTube channel has already been purged and the timing of that aligns with Nijisanji’s announcement. The agency’s tweet states the deactivation of Ike Eveland will be on the same day as his graduation but that he will continue to receive fan mail until May 30.
