
The first day of the IEM Rio CSGO Major Legends Stage has broken yet another record, as the broadcast peaked at over 1 Million concurrent viewers during the opening round of games. At it’s peak, the combination of broadcasts gathered 1 058 029 viewers, according to Escharts.
The peak happened during the series between Vitality and NAVI. The clash between two of the greatest AWPers at this CSGO Major in Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliec and Mathieu “ZywOo” Heirbaut was the highlight of the opening round. NAVI clutched out a victory in extended overtime.
During the series, s1mple crossed the 2.000 kills at a CSGO Major threshold.

Exact numbers on viewership per match for the Legends Stage games are not available yet. The Challenger stage clash between Vitality and Imperial currently holds the record of peak viewers for IEM Rio, coming in at 698.222 viewers.
