Team Spirit is on top of its game and has recently won both Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 and BLAST Bounty 2025. The Russian team’s ongoing run of success started after its roster won IEM Katowice 2024 last year and the team will try to defend the title now.
By stark contrast, Natus Vincere’s recent tournament performance has been less than ideal. The side failed to win at Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 and the BLAST Premiere World Final.
During the latter event, NaVi faced defeat at the hands of FaZe, a team NaVi had previously defeated three times consecutively, highlighting a potential dip in form. But Natus Vincere has looked better in Katowice thus far and that was highlighted by a defeat of Spirit in the tournament’s group stage.
This win, despite Team Spirit’s Danil “donk” Kryshkovets having a stellar match rating of 1.38, displays NaVi ramping up at the event. Justinas “JL” Lekavicius and Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen in particular have performed better and may be back in form. This speaks to why NaVi has a line of 2.20 compared to Spirit’s 1.65, making this a close pick.
Team Spirit may have an edge over NaVi despite the latter side looking improved of late. Even though Spirit lost to NaVi recently, its streak of winning major tournaments may continue with IEM Katowice 2025.
Despite past challenges faced by NaVi, the two teams are looking evenly matched in the IEM Katowice 2025. Spirit has a good chance of winning here against NaVi despite its previous loss. The team’s active star power, keyed by donk, may be too much for NaVi to overcome twice in one tournament.
Spirit’s talented roster is looking to be an edge that NaVi will struggle to overcome. Even with the odds as close as they are, fans may want to watch for a clean Spirit victory, possibly making 2-0 sweep worth taking.
