Hololive’s first 3D live concert for the new multimedia unit Holowitches is coming very soon, much to fan excitement.

As far as idol groups go, no vtuber agency has succeeded quite like Hololive. While Nijisanji may rule the roost in overall size, Hololive has made significant strides in growing its international audience. Hololive English’s humble beginnings have since bloomed into multiple generations of talented international streamers. Events like the Breaking Dimensions concert and collaborations with huge brands like Major League Baseball have also showcased the agency’s knack for group talents.

Of course, none of this would be possible without Hololive Japan, and they have also formed a new unit for fans to get hyped about.

What is Holowitches?

Holowitches is a new Hololive unit with members from multiple Hololive Japan generations inspired by magical girls. Much like the Breaking Dimensions project, Holowitches is a multimedia affair of songs, animated shorts, and concerts. The group consists of the following members:

• Amane Kanata
• Sakura Miko
• Houshou Marine
• Murasaki Shion
• Sakamata Chloe

Hololive revealed the new unit in May 2024 with an animated music video. The AMV also featured the veteran voice talents of Yuuki Aoi, Takashie Rie, Hondo Kaede, and Kawa Mirika. Unsurprisingly, the unit has a unique magical girl look from the idols’ usual outfits, and fans won’t have to wait long to see them in action.

How to watch Holowitches 1st 3D live concert

Hololive fans can watch the first Holowitches 3D live concert on YouTube on September 21, 2024.

Viewers can watch the first-ever Holowitches concert for free on YouTube on the official Hololive channel. The preview gave a teaser of what fans can expect from the show. Unlike typical concerts, the show will also feature magical battles, likely to the tune of original songs.

Hololive will also have a Holowitch merchandise sale on the official website before the event. Holowitches is unique for being a group composed of different existing members, as opposed to a new group like ReGLOSS. If Holowitches succeeds, it may pave the door for other themed units consisting of existing members.
