If you’re wondering how you unlock Platinum camo in Modern Warfare 2, thankfully, you have come to the right place. Not only will we tell you how to get Platinum, but we will also let you in on a few easy tips on how to get the camouflage quickly.
Unlike any other camouflage in Modern Warfare 2, Platinum gives off professional vibes, making you stand out to other players, and letting them know that you are, in fact, worthy of such a status symbol.
But, in order to unlock Platinum camo in Modern Warfare 2, you are going to need to know how to unlock Gold camo, but again, we have that covered for you as well.
Similar to the Gold camouflage, you will have to complete two challenges. Completing one set of challenges will allow you to unlock Platinum, but then the second set of challenges will award you the camouflage when completing it.
Essentially, when you complete the first challenge, you unlock a new challenge, and then when completing the new one, you gain the camouflage. A strange approach by Call of Duty, but at the end of the day, you are just completing two sets of tasks.
To complete the first challenge, you must unlock Gold camo on every weapon in a weapon class. For example, if you want a Platinum M4, you must unlock Gold camouflage on every assault rifle within Modern Warfare 2.
After completing the first challenge (the harder one), you will be presented with a brand new challenge, which shouldn’t be too hard, which will be something along the lines of 25 longshot kills with the weapon.
The most effective way to gain Platinum fast is by playing invasion mode, and this is because you will be able to get the most kills and weapon XP per match. Not only will you increase your weapon level quickly, but also your in-game level.
Players report that it has only taken them a few hours to unlock Gold camo when playing invasion mode. This is due to the level of players and bots roaming around the map, with it being an easy job to get more than 40 kills a match.
Just remember, these things can take time, and unlocking something like Platinum is something only a tiny fraction of players experience. Therefore it is likely you will need a lot of patience to unlock the camouflage.
